Hello
I'm trying to find out the name of a movie I saw when I was a little girl. I didn't see the whole thing, only a scene when this guy goes up to a woman's room and she throws something at his face (some sort of liquid) and his face is all red, like fresh blood or like his skin peeled off...
That really creeped me out, it must have been in the 80's and I wanted to see the whole thing now.
Do you know this movie?
Your gonna need more than that.

I don't know anything else :(
She was in bed, he goes up some stairs and enters her room, she looks at him terrified and throws that thing at him, then there's a close up of his face and it's all red and disgusting.
That's all I can remember... thanks anyway.

all i know is that I started a thread called "The Movie Assistance Thread" and that is exactly what that thread is for.
So if you were really thinking about becoming a member, wouldnt you have searced the boards a lil, found my thread. And Posted in it, instead of starting an entirely new thread....
Seems to me that once you find the awnser to this movie. You will leave Horror.com and never return.

I thought my thread would fit in the Classic Movies section...

Why are you making such a big dead of it?

And if it were made in the eighties then it wouldn't be a classic.

I've just looked for his thread... it's not even in the "Horror Movie Discussion" section. It's in the General Discussion... not very easy to find.
A newbie like me wouldn't think "hey let me check out the GENERAL forum (that says "talk about anything here" and has threads like "we got robbed!"), when there is a MOVIE discussion forum.
So I'll have to apologise to mr Ravage since I wasn't as bright as he expected us newbies to be.
Now, both of you.. get a life. This is a public forum and I can post a thousand threads asking about different movies if I want to. I agree there should be a specific thread to help find movies, but at least put it on the right section!!!

i dont have a problem with this.
i dont post in the General section so I hope people continue to post inquiries in the ACTUAL movie sections of HDC.
I enjoy the challenge of figuring out the movies.
also - she's already posting in other forums so i believe that if treated with a little more courtesy this member could hang around.
still dont know what the movie is.
Hellraiser popped into my mind but i know that isnt the one

I see what you mean. When I first joined, I didn't go to the general section for about a month or so. That's where I spend most of my time now though. :(
I think I may confine myself to these threads as Urg has. I'm begining to feel out of place there.
As for your movie. For some reason Hellraiser came to mind for me as-well. Hmmmm....Maybe?

Yeah, I joined this forum mostly to talk about movies and not about general issues, that I do on MSN usually...
Thanks for your reply, I never saw Hellraiser, but it's on my to-do list! :)

I had the same problem of rudeness when I joined about a month ago. At first I was upset. If people are wanted to stay around, a little courtesy is nice. But I'm glad I did stay. This is a fun place with some cool people who have extensive horror knowledge. I am in awe of them.

Man, you dont even know. Have you read the Sticky in the general forum? It was so much worse for noobs before they cracked down, trust me. I avoided most of it myself, but most others werent so lucky. Go dig up some old threads in the New Member Lounge, you'll see.

Here's a typical example. I tried to find one that IA75 posted in, but alas, no luck. Him and DraculainDallas were hands down the kings of noob bashing. Anyway, this is how most of them went down:

You should have been here when she had her Kitty account:rolleyes:. The majority of her posts either:
A) Made no sence
B) Disrupted perfectly good threads with unrealted replies
C) A mix of the two
She's SLIGHTLY better now, but not much.

The problem is that's the only scene I saw. My mom took me to bed right away :o
Hmm I just remembered something! There was another movie (or was it the same??) that... on the beggining of the movie, house hold items like... a bread slicer and so... were going crazy! I remember someone got his/her arm cut of by the bread slicer (or was it a chainsaw?).
Maybe it's from the same movie, I really can't tell. But... maybe? Does it ring a bell?
Interesting thing our memory, talking about this made me remember more stuff.

Hmm ok. Boogeyman... on its opening scene house objects were going crazy and attacking people? I've been reading about it and the story didn't seem to have much to do with this kind of opening scene.
Damn, the options are getting wider, I'll have to see a ton of movies to find out the right one.
Poor little me :D

The bread slicer part sounds like it Maximum Overdrive, there's also a scene where a guy gets sprayed in the face with petro and gets burned/blinded as a result.
