I've created this at the other forum I'm at, it's very successful, talk about anything that has to do with metal. No Nu-Metal bull, I hate that shit. So yeah.

Anyone hear of Dimmu Borgir? Their kind of like Cradle Of Filth, but better in my opinion. I saw DB live last week, not as great live than the music is just in general.

I think the new Opeth albums pale in comparison to the likes of Morningrise and Orchid.

finaly! a crowd i can realy relate to! so no nu metal? just the real stuff? dimmu are good but theyr "sister band" old mans child are still much better. and me having the luck of being from norway its not that uncommon for me to sit down and have a pint with some of the guys from dimmu or omc, nice fellaws... even ran into nagash from covenant allthough strangeley that was in an amusement park...of all the places to run into the prince of darkness...so where is this forum?

i love black metal,my favorites bands are: Emperor,Darkthrone,Dark Funeral,Anorexia Nervosa,Immortal,gorogroth,Nargaroth,Marduk.
Dimmu Borgir are one of the best symphonic black metal ever but their new album in my taste is less good then their older stuff,still listenable though,my favorties Dimmu's album is Stormblast.

you may like stormblåst, but can you understand it? i gotta admit i hate alot of the norwegian lyrics out there, lyrics are important to me and they contain nothing but the lyrics are all about slaughtering christians and jesus and god. its all about hate, hate hate and more hate...and some spite.
personaly it just sounds crappy to me.

I think this is the name of the band that I saw on headbangers ball the other night, {Dimmu Borgir} they were fucking excellent. Man Ive been stuck in the 80s british metal for 2 long, most of the music in the states sucks, poppy lollipop crap. I need to check out some of these bands you guys are talking about, I think I have had my fill of Mercyful Fate and Iron Maiden although I love them I need something new.

I think the only two early 80 metal bands I still like is Metallica, and of course Slayer. Speaking of Slayer, I just got their dvd, 'War at the Warfield', it's amazing. I saw them live also last month, along with Arch Enemy.

I love Arch Enemy, I just got the new album 'Anthems Of Rebellion', not as great as the others, but it does have a few key tracks on it. I believe 'Burning Bridges' is their best.

A lot of bands from the US suck, all the good bands come outta Europe and shit. But there are some exceptions, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, and I think Lamb Of God is from the US and the singer is just from some other country, but I'm not positive.

Anyone hear of 'Berzerker'? They're from Australia, Industrial Death Metal is their game.
