Ive always thought this was a really stupid thing to do. Ive never done it, and never wanted too.

I was wondering if we have any Horror.com member that do actually follow through with this.

as a good episcopalian - i will give up for lent. my usual (and its always brutal) is alcohol and this year i am adding t.v. (which does not include dvds - just the regular network shite)

I do not as a rule give up for lent.I do try to increase somthing else. Like, Ill keep the fasts,say the rosery more,do more evening prayer, things like that.

I did energy drinks last year, maybe this year I'll give up coffee after 10AM (if I gave up coffee altogether other people would suffer). It would be good because I generally drink coffee all day, in fact it's 11PM and I'm getting ready for a cup now.
