You make an excellent choice if you spend ten or twelve bucks on NEON MANIACS, my favorite monster slasher gore fest from the 80's. Good show, kinda stupid but fun stupid. I can watch it over and over.

FILMMAKER2-What was that movie that had Jenny Wright in it and as she read this book, the events in it happened?
That would be a good choice for Ash,it was a great movie, not quite a slasher but really GOOD.

I truly MISS movies like that.
I remember when it came out at the video stores(I don't know if it even came out in the theaters) and I thought it looked somewhat interesting.
At the time I was watching alot of underrated or unhyped movies and after watching I,Madman thought-what a jewel of a movie!!
@ Ash-you have a lot of great flicks to choose from-the 80's actually brought some great original ideas...if I come up with any other titles-I'll be sure to tell ya.

Hell yeh those movies are gold. Some more goodies:
Silent Night, Deadly Night
The Burning
The Mutilator
Slumber Party Massacre
April Fools Day
Slaughter High
Sleepaway Camp
Prom Night
Silent Madness
I fuckin' love slasher flicks. Easily my favorite subgenre.

This isn't a slasher flick but I highly recommend watching Night of the Demons! I absolutely love this movie, am glad to have it in my collection, and could watch it over and over again! A cult classic in my book!

Cheerleader Camp was ok with a couple of nice kills and total 80s boobs+blood+cheese formula. I mean c'mon, it's got Lief Garrett, how could it be that bad? Ok, it's bad, but the beartrap kill is cool.
A lot of pre-80s are good like Last House on the Left and Black Christmas, don't miss some of the great 70s stuff.
