Perhaps I have ben gone so long that the thread for this game has long since disappeared, but I cant believe no one seems to have written anything about it yet...

I am not quite done yet, but this game is a damn masterpiece. It uses a creepy atmosphere and a ton of "What's that?!" out of the corner of your eye suspense building rather than the massive "BOO!" onslaught of Doom 3 (which I also love, just not as much).

Also, being limited to 3 weapons at a time adds a great deal of strategy, rather than being a walking ammo dump that can annihilate anything with a hail of bullets, rockets and plasma (can you tell i have been dying to do some writing).

AND on top of all that, it uses a "bullet time" technique that makes even Max Payne look a little lame. It's actually necesarry to use at sopme points.

On top of all of this, it has the worst swearing, best ai, and coolest deaths of any game i have ever played. Nothing can quite match the feelin gof watching a guy get cut in half by a shotgun, and seeing his torso flip end over end, still firing it's gun, in slo mo. :D
