Ok, so we got our Report Cards at school today. I got pretty good marks, passing everything, ect. My lowest mark was 63 in FI math, which I totally deserve, mostly due to my "teacher's" inability to teach. Anyway, on the report card there's place for teacher's to put little comments. Well, this particular math teacher decided to put, for no reason that I can see, that Im "Frequently Absent". All semester, Ive missed MAYBE 5-6 days, and every single one has been excused. I dont know if this is how it works where you all are, but here if we bring a signed note from are parents on the day after we arent there, we're excused. Aparently, this teacher doesnt know that. More likely, she couldnt figure out a way to lower my mark because she doesnt like me, and put that instead.

Naturally, Ive wanted to get out of her class for awhile. In fact, Ive wanted to get out of the FI [French Immersion] program alltogether. Now, to do that, the head of the french department has to consult your parents, mostly to convince them that a teenager making their own decisions will bring about the Apocalypse. So now, Im stuck in that idiotic class with that idiotic teacher. Unless I do something about it myself [which I plan to], Im stuck there until June. Great fun.

That sucks that they put that. That doesn't really make much sense. I had a teacher like that though when I was in school. But I don't know how to help you. I'm homeschooled and am usually always absent:D

I take that back. I'm not absent, I've already graduated.

Another thing about this teacher is she seems to be a nice person; makes you feel bad about telling her off. Sure, I piss her off as often as possible anyway [especially these last couple days, story below], but I still feel bad about it.

To understand parts of the following story better, Ill need to explain something to you non-Canadian folks. Being a country with 2 official languages, many schools give the option of French Immersion. Basically, you take most of your cources in French. For example, this year I have French Language Arts, aswell as Math and History in french. The main rule in these classes is NO SPEAKING ENGLISH. Minor punishment, IE detention is usually the consequence. The rest of my classes are in english, thank god.

As mentioned, Im trying to get her as riled up as I can this week. Why this week more than any other week you ask? Well, my grade level cant change our cources for this semester until Monday, so anything we do this week has absolutly NO EFFECT on my mark. However, due to the terrifying Vice Principal in charge of dicipline, Im taking the McMurphy aproach: Piss her off as much as possible without actually breaking any rules, a la R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Yesterday, I sat there and read most of the class, until she told me to put my book down. At which point I dropped, rather loudly, on the floor and closed my notebook aswell. She sent me to the hall, where she said in french that I shouldnt be behaving like that, because it gives others the impression that they can get away with it. So I reply in English "Why should I waste time and resources on a class that Im leaving in 2 days?". To that, she just told me, in English [which is a sign I was getting to her] that at least I should pretend to be doing work. I gladly complied, spending the rest of class exageratedly scribbling lines on looseleaf:p

Today was better though. First off, I didnt bring anything to class except the book Im reading, which she quickly asked me to put away. I said no, but then she asked politly...so I put it dow. Im a wimp, shoot me. Anyway, there was nobody using the desk infront of me, so I turned the chair around and rested my feet. She told me I looked to comfortable, so I made a huge ruccus removing my feet from the chair, knocking the chair over in the process. She just sort of glared, didnt say anything. I spent the rest of class pretending to sleep, with a great snore every minute or two. Still she said nothing, until I put my hood over my head. "No hats in class!" she said in french. Soon, she assigned some work from our textbook, which I obviously idnt bother to bring. So I raise my hand high, and ask her loud, clear, and in perfect English "May I please go to my locker and fetch my book so that I may return it to you before leaving your fine class?". She told me, still in French, that we are not to speak English, could I please translate my request. I said, as loud and as English as ever, that it wasnt important, and I returned to pretending to sleep, and pretending I didnt notice her glare in my direction....

If I cant get out of her class on Monday, I should have a pretty fun year;)

my algebra 2 teacher is like that too. she gave us 200 problems for hw and didnt explain it at all. She randomly yelled at me when she tripped in front of everyone, and i'm in the back of the room.
