I wonder where they would go with that. It might be interesting to watch and see. :)

I loved this movie, but a sequel? Sometimes a good thing should just be left alone.

I think they pretty much wrapped up the film at the end. But then again, when has that ever stopped anyone from making a sequel (Terminator 3)?

I liked the first one. but i dont think it would work for a sequal because what could they do uummmmmmmm it spreads to other countries and the same thing happens CRAP. so there should be no sequal to 28 day later;)

.....or maybe they will make a good idea up and the sequal will be good.....;)

i think if they get a good idea and dont stick with the same thing that happens in the first it might be really good the first movie was a big hit and if they do bring a sequel out it better not harm the first movie.

When money talks, bullshit walks. They would even dress up the ragers in ballet suit and make them dance kazachok if that would guarantee them lots of money.

This baby will have a sequel for sure! It produced great revenue and cost nothing to make. Remember Blair Witch? Hopefully, we get lucky and they are not blinded by the bucks and try and make a decent little monkey for use to rage over.

I didn't like the 1st one at all too much, but I'd still see the sequel if they made one. I'm a sucker for any horror movie.

The only reason why the movie did well is because in the trailer and on the commercials they said some bullshit like "Scariest movie of the year!" "The scariest movie since The Exorcist!!"

So that's why it made money.

29 Days Later....No.

Make it stop.

why make a sequal to such a terribal "zombie" flick give me night of the living dead any day.

While you're waiting for the 28 days sequel, sate your appetite with LONDON VOODOO - a new indie British horror with music by SIOUXSIE & THE BANSHEES' STEVEN SEVERIN and his new group, featuring Arban Ornelas, DARLING HATE.

I enjoyed 28 Days Later but was a bit disappointed with the ending from about when they met the army guys in the mansion. No disappointment here though. Check it out as it does the festival circuit this year starting in LA in March, NY in April and Las Vegas in July.

It did well because it was a good movie and a lot of people enjoyed it.

Presicely. Just because you hated it doesnt mean it sucked. Unless you are referring to Spawn the movie, which sucked a long, engorged donkey cock.

28 days later was great, and tied up well. A "prequal" thingy would be intersting, but they should make that a tv special or something. I dont think it would do all that great in theaters.

I really liked the first one, though. it was gritty. That black dude in the window freaks me out...

i thought 28 days later was an average movie, not as good as it was hyped IMO but ok. i dont think a sequel would be a good idea, i dont see what plot they would have.

Wrong, how do people know a good movie before it comes out?

That's what I thought.

People saw it because of the bullshit quotes on the commercials and shit.

I'd go see it if it happened but I don't want a second one. Maybe if the first one had even an ounce of originality in it...oh and it's NOT a Zombie movie people! They aren't dead risen - they aren't even dead yet, they just have a disease!!!!!! :D

I cant believe no one has stated this previously. You are very much the voice of reason sleepaway.

I really liked the first one, it has grown on me. Not to mention rekindled my freakin post-apocalyptic nightmare cycle. Yes, folks, I bought it this weekend, watched it last night, and got 4 hours of sleep, the whole time fiolled with a dream that iw as holed up in an apartment with my fiance and a baseball bat..... I may need help.

I have to say I enjoyed the first 28 days, at least it had some originality to it compared to half of the bullshit movies that are coming out these days.

I would be willing to see the sequel also as long as they don't fuck it all up.

Has anyone actually heard rumors of a sequel then? I can't recall if I have or if I'm confusing it with the sequel to Dog Soldiers.

I loved this film, but i had just two main problems with it:

1.) Selena states that after someone becomes infected, that you have 10 -20 secs to kill them.

2.) Selena also states that before the tv and radio stations went off the air, there were reports of cases in Paris and New York. A plane flying would never make it too it's distantion if an infected got on the plane, the same goes for a ship crossing the atlantic.

just my take...

I agree 100% with you. 28 days later was a terrific movie. Most of the people who didn't enjoy it probably just couldn't adjust to the non-Hollywodish style of the movie.
This bio-genetic horror movie, a bit like Cabin Fever, was okay as a 1 shot deal though. No need for a sequel. At the worst, if they make it a prequel, it could still grab some interest, but they'll loose the touch of the original to it.

One way or another, money will talk again and the producers will decide if enough money can be pressed out from another chapter. And once again, I'll fall for it and pay for what will most liquely be some reheated left overs...

This movie was a good rent and return movie. It was ok, it was just good enuff to keep me watching. It was on the borderline of boredom and excitement. But, the sequel will probraly cross the line and I will fall asleep half way through.

I really enjoyed the film, but as a British soldier was dissapointed that the army was shown in a bad light, I don't believe a sequel would work because as is said the virus never makes it out of britain despite the radio reports, but a prequel might well work, with a different group of people, maybe even one that shows the army in a good light, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

I liked it, I would see a sequel. I liked the whole thing with the soldiers, 'cause you just knew it was going to happen. You know somebody out there would think that way if it was the "End of the world".

And British accents rock my socks.
