On the flipside...

I DID just buy a brand new computer...And Seri has already loaded FULL of programs and is doing a ton of downloads right this minute...Which makes this forum and every damned thing else run as slow as hell...

Soooo...I feel like I still have the same old piece of shit that died on us...

*sigh*

Try going through deleting some of the programs that the computer had by default. Alot of them don't mean anything and are useless. I did that to my comp after I uploaded alot of games, music and other junk that takes up space, and it runs fairly fast.

Heh...You have no idea how 'technologically impaired' I am...I'd end up killing the computer... :D

Second thought, you're right. If you aren't sure what you're doing, you can erase files that are required for your computer to run. You might try going to the start up menu and making some of the programs you aren't using not come up when you turn on your comp though. That's pretty simple and will make your computer move a little faster.

Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove things that are used 'rarely', but only things that you have recently downloaded because like VC said there are some programs that need to stay in place.
Also, you can run the clean-up wizard-it gets rid of useless temp files.
Make sure you check security because you never know when a DL game has a trogan.
My mom DL'ed " maui wowi" and got a heck of a virus.

You may also try getting an internet eraser. I got one after a long time of being online and did a clean up on my computer with it and it ran alot faster and removed some of the pop-ups and stuff.
