Does anyone use joysticks anymore ?
I keep finding them in the used junk store i go to .. Gravis, Microsoft, etc .. i find them all ... nice ones too .. I even found a microsoft steeringwheel and pedals ... never pay more than a couple of bucks for them ..

are they a thing of the past or are people dumping PC games for XBox, etc ?

a few issues back Game Informer featured a "latest" version of a joystick(Japan) it was a two part device you hold one in each hand.they called it nunchuck style,it looked pretty cool...would'nt mind giving it a try if and when it's available in NA.

i should also mention it was for a gaming platform(gamecube)i think.

I rarely play the game now, but my Logitech Wingman came in handy when I played GTR racing. Using the keyboard was useless, the cars would wheel spin all over the place and crash. I set it up pretty sensitive and it felt strange using a joystick to control a car, rather then a steering wheel.

I use PC joysticks and gamepads for all the emulators I have. I also, once in a great while, bust out the old Coleco and play Coleco and Atari games with the amazing Coleco joystick. For those who don't remember the Coleco had the joystick with the telephone like dial pad on it. Also have the pedals and wheel for Sega's Turbo.

i'm just amazed people are dumping them because they all look new - and pretty hi-tech.

unless everyone is dumping them for the wireless...
