I thought it was worth a watch, not worth buying though. Nothing really that special about it.

I didn't like the end much at all.

the only neat thing of that movie was when the wax dripped of those dead people and you could see what's beneath, I saw it on big screen but it was horrible => bad movie, not worth to watch again.

I enjoyed the Paris Hilton blowjob scene though.

 well it's been a while since I've seen the movie, o yes I enjoyed it when all the wax began to melt (the entire house) for one second I thought that girl and guy (been a while can't remember names) were gonna be trapped inside, would be a better ending thou lol

one of the more unique slashers, with the whole wax thing, but very predictable, but i liked it.

Ehhh, I dunno.... it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I'd say it's worthy of a discounted price like when I bought mine for $6, but anything more than that is not worth the extra money.

I liked it, it was a bit cheesy, but it wasnt quite as bad as i thought it was gonna be, it surprised me actually. lol

I like the Paris-pipe-in-the-head scene best. :) The other cool effects was the body-hot-wax-death-spray and the wax that fell off dude's face and his muscle tissue and bones were exposed.

I bought it just to see Paris get killed.

If someone would put out a compilation DVD of the 100 best kills in a film, I would be the first in line to buy it.

And Paris should be in the top 10.

I didn't figure I would enjoy it much, but I did... Mostly for the imagery, something about wax people is pretty creepy to me. I liked the ending and thought it was shot well.

The acting was nothing special, but I don't think it hurt the film much.

I just watched it again tonight, and thought it was still pretty good. It has to be one of the most unique slashers out there. It has some good kills, paris of course, and the annoying kid getting decapitated, but what really catches my attention is the location. The isolated town is very spooky. The movie is very gory by slasher standards, like, i think it was just as if not significantly more gory than SaW. What pissed me off the most was the attempted jump out sequences. These are what makes a movie scary to me, and they all sucked. They failed at being jumpy worse than scream, which wasn't MEANT to be jumpy. The acting wasn't all that awful. The star girl, can't remember her name, but she was actually quite good. The best actor however, was Bo, the main killer. He is a great actor and could make it in better movies than this.

Meh, what the heck
7/10

I wish I had not read this thread before watching HoW...

saw it like 2 hours ago there, was really dissapointed! Although the peeling off the skin on your man and his jaw and teeth being exposed where awesome effects, and the hot wax spray thing was pretty cool. The twins really didnt do it for me at all. I like my killers/psychos to be a bit more... freaky (leatherface/norman bates/Henry etc).

I give it a whopping 6/10

I think the killer was the best actor.

Worth a rental, but not a purchase. I do have to say it's worth seeing at least once though if for nothing else but the effects.

Bo was ok, just didn't freak me out, is all. Also, did anyone else notice how the vest the main chick was wearing was way too big when her bro gave it to her, and magically started to fit her throughout the rest of the film?

no, but what I think everyone's problem with this movie as that people just didn't want to like it. I think it is probably the most original slasher idea out there, even though a remake, its a completely different movie...

I really liked it. bought it thinking or fearing the worst and was pleasantly surprised. Good death scens (partic. paris) and some fantastic effects!!

I give it 7/10!

Do y'all think either Vincent or Bo was more effective as a killer?
