Ok here's the thread idea. We post what we have just rented/are thinking of renting that night and people who have seen the movie say whether they liked it or not to give you an idea of what you're in for.
Dead Birds
Devour
The House by the Cemetery
Wolfen
The House by the Cemetery.....this movie is very boring in spots. There are some scenes that are worthwhile, but I really didnt care for this one.

Dead Birds is an awesome movie. I'm fairly sure you'll enjoy that one. Wolfen... well, I didn't like it. But then again, I'm not a big fan of werewolf movies, so YMMV. Haven't seen the other two.
As for me, I rented Maronnier tonight. I don't know when I'll get to watch it, as I'm moving to a new apartment this week, but I'll have it for whenever.

Marronnier sucked so bad its not even funny. Youll hate it. make sure you watch the extras ( only good part of the dvd, and thier not even that good ).

Picked up The Shunned House, from Brain Damage I think. As usuall, the H.P.Lovecraft tag sucked me in. A couple investagate a decaying Inn that has a history of gruesome murders. The only thing HPL about this thing is the name of the film. Some good imagery, nice lighting and such but, you can pass on this one and sleep peacefully without wondering if you missed anything.

You can say Rowdy Roddy Piper is in it which makes it awesome, granted it's no They Live but it'll do in a pinch.

I have fond memories of this movie. It's been years since I've actually seen it, so it may be better in my memory than it really is.
Tonight I rented (well, got from Netflix... same thing) Bullet Ballet.

I liked Zathura, but IM a Huge Jumanji fan ( i use to watch it atleast 10 times a week) so maybe thats why I like it so much

i thought Zathura was wayyyyy better than Jumanji.

Cinderella Man & Wallace and Gromit are great flicks! Two of the best of 2005! Both recieve 5 out of 5 stars from me! I too have The Constant Gardener rented fresh from BB and have yet to watch it! Tell me what you thought of it once you watch it.

Yeah I seen it. It wasn't too good either. I liked there idea with trying to make a smart slasher flick (though I hope this trend doesn't keep goin. I don't want to have to think in the next Friday the 13th flick), but they didn't do it right. And, the cast wasn't great either. *SPOILER* Not that many people died! WTF?! This is a slasher flick, not Murder She Wrote!

its worth ONE watch, then its kinda... whatever.
i rented SAW and Tremors tonight.
seeing saw for the second time just pissed me off... that movie is about 90% goreless. i'm not kidding either. the only gory part was when it showed amanda holding his stomach, but that was IT, it showed the leg saw part for like 1 second, and not even deep in his leg, it was too... absent of gore...
but that movie does scare me at 2 parts. mainly where the little girl hears the voice in her closet, and then the guy jumps out, and tyhen when the other guy is in his apartment using the camera flash for light, and the guy in the mask is in the closet and jumps out.
