So...Did you guys make any?...It's been over a week now, are you sticking to them?
I HAVE to get this weight off...not because of a resolution, but because of just having a baby...
You guys ever try any diets that actually WORK?
Hmmm...Maybe I should start by laying off the chocolate a little bit...
*thinks about that*...*pops another almond M&M in her mouth*
:D

Well...I'll let it slide, I dunno about the rest of these damn savages though...
Losing weight...well, I've never been GREAT at it...making the kinda food I know how to make and all doesn't help.
One I've come across quite a few times is - don't eat anything that requires cooking past 5pm...not unless you're gonna excersize it off afterwards...sounds drastic, but is shown to work remarkably well.
From personal experience:
I myself kept in my best shape ever a few years back with muay thai boxing 3-4 times a week...but they DO work you pretty hard, and if you're not into regular excersize, your first month WILL be very difficult, and painful...I won't shit you there, but if you find yourself a good instructor, and see it through, you will become fitter than you've ever been. I'm never really stayed with any other martial arts quite long enough to see what their health benefits would be, I'd suggest trying a few things, seeing what works for you, all the while keeping in mind that it shouldn't be easy.
Other than that, I'd reccomend regular cycling, and the participation of family and friends, having someone to talk to only makes it go by easier.
Nothing deep fried, and HEALTHY snack foods only...you don't even wanna know how high in saturated fats most chips are.
Make sure you eat lots of fresh vegetables. Salads are great, so learn how to make a few that are worth eating without being smothered in mayo. Make your own dressings, light oil if any.
Eat fish, salmon, trout, swordfish...try a whole lot of them to find what suits you.
And yeah, chocolate doesn't help a great deal.

Do you have a dog BR..Thats always a good reason to go for a walk and get your excersising.. They say 30mins a day for women. I get that every few days hehe.
As for the diet thing. Haven't tried it. Just cut out the crap basically and stock up on the good stuff. Dont overload with food, as in dont stuff ya tummy with good stuff, you will just make yourself sick.
Drink vege juice also, a mixture of the good stuff, ginger, mint, orange, carrot. That will get your system up and running a lil bit smoother. More energy which your gonna need now.
Mmmmm. Makes me want one of those now. The drink that is hehe.
Also, dont drink fruit juice. I was told its better to eat the fruit instead of drinking it.

Wow...Thanks guys...That's a LOT of info...
I'm not sure that I care about my weight THAT much...lol
That sounds really time consuming...and it sounds like a lot of work...I already have my hands full....Hmm, maybe just the inability to actually sit down and have a meal will help me out...:D

You dont need to lose weight.. You just gotta tone up like me haha.. Everything is in the right spot, just needs some slight smoothing :P
As for the excercising thing, a walk 30mins a day, with ya bub and man will mean you all get some excercise, some time alone for chatter, and fresh air which is always good for the mind ( and body ).

and it sounds like a lot of work...
Simple point form then -
*Lower the amount of foods you KNOW you shouldn't be eating. Deep Fried should not be in your vocabulary.
*Fresh fruit and vegetables are a must.
*Substitute SOME of the meat you consume with fresh fish, and steam, or bake it...no frying, that just kills it.
*Lots of ginger, garlic, chilli.
*REGULAR excersize of your choice, with company
If you work it into your routine, it becomes easier with structure, and time...it only seems like a lot of work because these things are unfamiliar to you.
Oh, and Spal had a good point with the juices...get yourself a good juicer...you can throw a lot of good stuff into a juice, simple and doesn't take much time at all.
If you want recipes, be it for salads, juices, fish...you know you can just PM me...

If I can just get Dustin to stay AWAKE, and Ash to stay ASLEEP...at the same time... :)
Anyway...Thanks for the great advice...I rarely eat meat anyway, so that shouldn't be much of a problem...
I guess I was just looking for a 'quick fix'...and hoping someone would give me one...lol...There really ISN'T one, huh?
So, none of these popular diet things really work?..South Beach, Atkins, etcetera?

BR-The 1st question is,are you breastfeeding?
If so,don't do any of those fad diets.
It took me a year to get the weight off from my last baby, but I wasn't really trying to get it off.
First baby,I drank tons of water, cut out alot of my bread products and walked(mainly to put baby to SLEEP:D )
Ate raw veggies and fruit mostlyand the wieght came off pretty quickly.
As far as Atkins-yes it does work,I have seen alot of friends have dramatic wieght loss but I do worry about them later on in life getting heart problems.
The South Beach works but when you stop, you end up gaining more than you lost....and it would be very unhealthy to stay on a diet like that for the rest of your life, you know?
There are some seriously good herbals you could take to suppress appetite and lose water wieght.
But none come to mind right now,I'll ask my friend who's an herbalist about it.
The best way to go is getting enough rest right now,put down the M&M's and relax!! It will come off.

No, I'm not breastfeeding, he has to take supplements and I know that I would never be able to make sure that he had all the nutrients that he needed if I DID breastfeed...All of mine were bottle fed
But...Anyway...Thanks for the info on the diets...And you REALLY think there are herbs that actually WORK?
@ NanaBaby...That was just funny...Confusing...But funny......Are you related to ScaryMinda?:)

-Can't get ahold of my friend about the herbs by phone but sent her an email.
And yes,if used and taken properly, herbs really do work.
But for anyone who decides to take them-please do not buy them from stores like Walmart-you might as well be taking nothing at all.
I haven't really had much success with herbs in pill form at all anyways-even from reputable herbal companies.
I suggest always going to a herbal store.
I have this detox herbal tea I drink if I was drinking, smoking or eating in excess the night before and it really works,I feel human by noon:D

Yeah, I made one for the new year. And this time I bloody well mean to keep it!
I'm gonna start another novel this month and have it completely finished before December. Even if it kills me, which it probably will.

Mine was to be nicer, not flip out at people over little things and not stay angry for a month over something small. I'm going to try to just sit back and roll with the punches this year. Hopefully it works.

Jeez, still no response from my friend BR.
I guess this is going to take a little time.
I was thinking about you earlier and you know what?
I bet you are craving chocolate.
I mean it makes perfect sense, seeing as how your progesterone was like 300% while preggers and now after baby you've had a quick dive into hormone hell land.
Chocolate acts on the seratonin in the brain which causes happiness.:)
So,eat away baybee-bring on the M&M's

BR-I am assuming at this point my friend is out of town.
But I still have some advice anyways:D
Go to a health food store and ask if someone there knows info on herbals(they usually do)
Ask for a good detox system that doesn't give you the runs and a safe diuretic (teas are the way to go here)-after baby, bodies retain a great deal of water.
Then ask about a good appetitite suppressant-something with organic herbals will work best (fennel, hibisicus, uva ursi etc etc)
Sometimes just with a herbal cleanse you can lose up to 10 pounds, cause we carry around a great deal of toxic build-up from all the processed foods and not drinking enough water.
And when I do get in touch with my friend I will PM you the details
:)

Got another resolution, this one's a collaborative one between myself and spal...We've thought about it for a while, but yeah, it's just become something we're GONNA do - We wanna get along to more live performance/theatre type stuff...not musicals, but all the cool, weird shit that's out there.
We're gonna go see THIS act
http://www.mummenschanz.com/ at the Sydney Opera House. Looks amazing....check out the site.
I never make them....why start off the new year lying to myself.
Besides.....i'm perfect just the way i am.
