Sorry I forgot about this. Haven't been on in awhile. Anyway, vote for the best of '05 and don't forget to vote in the worst of 2005 poll, which'll be posted soon. Enjoy!

I was between Sin City and Devil's rejects, too. But I picked Sin City.

Yea it was real tuff for me, I went with the rejects because I love that style of that film. One of the best in years in my opinion.

From what Ive seen, I agree....except for Hitchhkikers Guide. Personally, I found it boring and [with a couple expections] not funny at all. What did you like about it?

Nevermind return....all the people into that film/book will only ever tell you that you don't find it funny because it's not "on your level" or some shit like that...
I tend to agree through, the storyline itself was pretty weak, and the only real humour were wordplay upon wordplay, some people are into that, I myself, am not.

I agree with ste on a few points.
Crash was excellent, although I'm not sure quite how I felt after seeing it...and Serenity was just fucking awesome, sadly overlooked.
Oldboy was hmmm....interesting....great score and coreography, however, it wasn't a 2005 movie.

All in all, Sin City wins out for me too. Perfection.

a) I'm a big Hitchhiker's Guide nerd, so I'm a bit biased, b) had fantastic casting (especially Rickman and, surprisingly, Mos Def) c) I thought it was hilarious and d) Muppets instead of CGI Aliens. Nothing against CGI, but it was nice to see the Jim Henson stuff again

Oldboy was released in the US in 05. If Oldboy doesn't count, then stuff like High Tension doesn't count either.

With small kids, it's hard to get to the movies. It's nice to see this posting because it reminds me of what to look for on video. I'd have to say that most of the films I've seen have either been just OK or not really worth the cost and effort. But a couple have stood up Big and Tall.

King Kong
Sin City
Batman Begins
Kung Fu Hustle

Nods to:
Constantine
Serenity
War of the Worlds
