Frankly I think the end is coming very soon. Hate is the number one word in the english laguage and noone gets along. Death is rampant and sickos lurk everywhere. your not safe anymore.
I litterally ask this everyday "Why cant we get along!" I scream it at the top of lungs. I swear sometimes Im at my wits end. right now I'm learning to be a police officer and I dont know if I want to actually help people. I think that 9-11 had no effect on the nation and that Everyone needs to go to a seminar about human decency.
The end is near unless we turn it around.

Agreed on this point. I happen to agree with dark on most of his points except his point of view. I think society needs a drastic change. I think government and big business are so big in this nation that people are taking a back seat. We either need to spear-head the revolution ourselves or sit back and let the powers that be further ruin society. Im personally for the first option, but then again there are days when i feal its not worth saving and we should just enjoy the downfall.

for real right? I wish we could get back to a society that appreciated the arts. Movies, Music, Art, Theater, and not just appreciate the potential money they can earn. Weve lost site of the good things somewhere along the line.

Dont get me wrong im not advocating communisim or anything, i just think weve gone too far. The only thing thats valued by our society is money and the potential to earn it. And if there is none, your worthless. Regaurdless of talent, or ability. Its just kinda sad that its the only thing at ALL thats valued anymore.

Sometimes I think if ONE thing had been different we would all be in a different world, but it's hard to determine what the ONE thing could have (or should have) been.

I AM STILL MAD ABOUT 911, I think for the most part the humanrace will ban together to survive. we have seen how towns, states, and nations stick together in the face of tragady. Open you're eyes - you just have to look around to see that society is not sick. The support on this site is an example of this.

Unforrtunately, small acts of kindness are not reported on the news just the bad stuff - and it is kind of hard to see the good side of society when all you see is the media reporting all the murders, rapes etc.

Sometimes, that is the view you get with society as well particularly when you are bullied at school.

My school years were a nightmare, and I thought this way for a long time - but now I just have to walk around my neighbourhood and know that 95% of the people out there are basically cool.

I think human beings tend to be quite pessimistic as well, but I try to live my life thinking it is a blessing.

Just an observation while my stay on this planet(heheh) Society will never change ..goverment will always look out for the means of the upper upper class (the tax bracket where the zeros are continued on next page) SOME people( mostly the ones that make the largest impact on society)will aways care whats in your wallet opposed to what talent you have been blessed with. You would think the world would learn from it's past...hell we all know MONEY is the ROOT to all evil..but what do we do about it... rack our brains to make it...because we all know with out it you will not survive..Im sure you could...but come on..you know what I mean.. The end being close I wouldnt be surprised...Society has come along way from the 50-60..when certain preduices(sp?) were allowed the only difference is the govrment has bettered their art of cover up. It is a shame it takes something drastic to open your eyes..but in all respect how open do your eyes really come..what level of awarness do people really get too.. They seem to look at everything on an Isolated level not on a gradure scale ..and that is what truely pisses me off. I know Im ranting but goverment policies are a mystery to me how can they really get away with some of the crap they propose and pass. For some reason I have a felling it will always be like this..unless of course we have a nuclear war...then who know what the hell society will look like...

I happen to agree w/ you on this point that a revolt needs to happen in this country. The rich control the gov., the media, and the law to qoute Queensryche. But I think that most of the sheeple in this country will just sit around and watch it all go by. They are all 2 worried about what they are wearing, whats going on w/Ben and JLo and discussing the kiss between Brit and Madonna. They all walk around like mindless zombies. You know why you get your income taxes taken out every week?? Because if they took at the end of the year in one lump sum, people would go beserk and overthrow the gov. Big business can do whatever it wants they have the politcians in their back pockets. I am not anti business but when wrong doing is done they should be held accountable. Everyday we are losing our rights in this country slowly but surely. First they take your right to own a firearm then they take your right to free speech. I think that generally about 95% of the people in this country are OK and probably think like I do, its the upper 5% that control everything and that is what we have to change.

it is my current belief that the human race is headed down the shitter not with a bang but with a societal whimper. Back in the day a villages highest building was its church, its temple. Now take a look at our "temples". Money is the new god. I've got to agree that human rights are definatly on the backburner for cash. And heres another contention, the revolution isnt coming. Over the last several years I've been involved in several activism groups and I can tell you from what I've seen at protests/demonstrations all over the nothern hempishpere that a rev isnt coming. People in this country are just too lazy and content. A class war isnt coming because no one wants to get hurt or put in danger, they want to sit about and watch the lakers game, sipping on pepsi, and generally become ignorant to the fact that while American citizens do have some nicities in there lives, America is a sucking the life out of the rest of the planet. Did you know that America is the only Industrialized country in the world not to have government supplied health care? For fucks sake there is federally aided medical care in fucking south africa, and they are faaaaaaaaaaaaar from perfect. That should say somthing about how this grand fallacy is run.

Sure, a lot of stuff about the government sucks. Take this into consideration though: At least you can voice your opinion and not get killed for it. I'm not sure if anyone else said this before I did, because I got too lazy to read all the posts before mine. I did scan them, and I didn't see anything, so here it goes.

The reason why the world is going down the shitter, is the gap between the "haves" and the "have-nots" is only getting bigger and bigger. What some people have, others want, and when the others can't have they get PISSED THE FUCK OFF. That's why things like 9/11 happen. Osama, terrorists, whoever you want to point your finger at, want things that they can't have, and they're pissed off about it.

I think the only real way to have all the problems in the world to end is to make everything socialistic. Granted, that would make the world a much more boring place to live in, and the need to be the best IS in human nature, it would be impossible. However, if everyone were equal, it would make the world a hell of a lot easier to be in.

I'm not sure if anyone else has read the book A Brave New World, but it poses a good point. Basically to just be happy, take lots of pills to make you happy, have lots of sex, and do what you're told. They breed people into the caste they're supposed to be in, and that's the way the world functions. And low and behold, the world runs perfectly! Even in the end of the book, the world continues to be as close to perfect as anyone can probably ever get.

But, as for now, the world is going to run its course and eventually collapse. There is no way to fix anything, because no one will listen to anyone else. Isreal, Palestine, Jordan, etc.. won't listen to each other, Suddam won't listen to the US.. The whole world is going to hell in a handbasket and there's no stopping it.

The best part is, those who don't get killed by the nuclear war will get killed by the resulting radioactivity! YIPPIE KY-YAY MOTHERFUCKERS. It's scary now that North Korea has nukes, isn't it?
