Dark Water belongs on the best horror list.

As for worst, I vote High Tension

Very tough choice....I went with Ring 2, but Amityville was a close contener.

puh-lease - White Noise could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch -

- - it could suck a bowling ball through garden hose

-- i mean, that movie had suck that could make Niagara Falls go backwards

Good list! From, what I've seen of it, these films sucked pretty bad.

Cursed - Hated it. Total Hollywood Ginger Snaps rip off with the hot young cast.
The Ring Two - Hated the first one. Hated the second one too.
House of Wax - Not a good one by any stretch, but not the worts on this list.
The Amityville Horror - This movie sucked, but I wasn't a fan of the original either.
Urban Legends: Bloody Mary - Yeah, this was terrible too. Really terrible.
Venom - This never opened in theatres around my house but I have it queued on Netflix as soon as it comes out.
White Noise - This movie just sucked. Boring. I think I almost fell asleep.
The Cave - Never saw it. Queued on Netflix for when it comes out.
Dark Water - Never saw it. Queued on Netflix for when it comes out.
Hide & Seek - This movie sucked too, but I pretty much had very low expectations heading in to it.

Like I said, I agree with that list very much... It makes for a tough vote. I hated the end of High Tension, but the first 3/4 of the movie were cool enough to warrant it not being included in my opinion.

My votes for Ring 2.

Why the fuck isn't The Fog on that list? That movie blew hucking chunks.

What exactly was amazing about it? The gore?

It wasn't "amazing". It was just a very fun movie, with some dark, chilling moments (the very end) and had some excellent gore. Now maybe you didn't love it, but can you say you hated a slasher like this that didn't lack gore more than some of the PG-13 lame-os like Boogeyman or The Fog??

I didn't see any chilling moments, the entire end was retarded, and I haven't seen The Boogeyman or the Fog. Is it possible that they're worse than High Tension? Maybe. But I don't rate how good a movie is by how much gore is in it. Any dumb fuck with some karo syrup and red food colouring can make a gory movie. That's not skill, that's grocery shopping.

Ok, no need to get angry. All I'm defending is that there were much worse movies released this year than High Tension.
