I agree with Hash about about the usual suspects (i love kevin spacey) and la confidential. also anything by quentin tarantino (although i hide behind the sofa during the ear scene in reservoir dogs).
I also think schindlers list needs a mention - now that is one powerful movie. it must have taken a lot of balls to produce/direct that one.

I fell asleep about 15 minutes into Schindler's List. It's was way boring. But I also fell asleep during Lost Highway. EVERY TIME. Those movies are guaranteed to knock me the fuck out.
I used to always fall asleep during Reservoir Dogs, too. But I have since seen Reservoir Dogs in it's entirety and now that I've seen the whole thing, I'm a huge fan.
And no, I'm not narcoleptic.
I remember Jurassic Park in the theater. I about pissed myself a couple of times during it. The sequels/continuations/whatever sucked ass though. Nothing scary about those.

Good call, Avenger. I just saw this a couple weeks ago, and I *loved* it. My wife even loved it, and she is *so* not into these kinds of movies (action/sci-fi stuff)!
IMO EQUILIBRIUM was unfairly ignored 'cause most folks thought it was nothing but a MATRIX rip-off, but it is sooo much more.
Damn fine movie. Been trying to find the DVD to buy it, but haven't had any luck around here for some reason . . . .

Man I'm just glad someone else has heard of this movie. When I mention it people are like "What?". Then I show them the box and it becomes another Matrix rip-off. I'm glad to see you agree with me though. I got my DVD at bestbuy....and that's the only place I've seen it for sale. GREAT movie.

Ok, massacre man, I noticed you left off two of the best Sandler flicks, Airheads and The Wedding Singer. Have you seen them or did you just not like them?
And for the record, I think he hit his peak with Happy Gilmore and the Wedding Singer and his flicks have been downhill ever since.
