I might be alone on this one but, The Ring

Probably would be the Ring 2, but never took the time to see because I knew it would be 10 times worse than the origional, and not just because its a sequal.

Oh yeah, and Texes Chaunsaw massacer 2 was awful.

TCM 2 an House of 1000 Corpses worst films ever? Get the fuck outta here! Bill Mosley ruled in both those films and they both had a comic book crazyness going on and were really pyschedelic in tone.

I have to agree on The Ring, I thought it was the most boring movie I had to shit at the theatre thru...and haven't seen The Ring 2 either. The Dead Hate The Living was pretty lame, and I know I can think of so many more but I don't feel much like thinking right now:)

Now on to more sophisticated pieces of shit:

Sorry folks.... House of 1000 Corpses sucked, no matter how cool Bill Mosely is, that movie was a total disapointment. I intend to see Devil's Rejects now that it's out on video.

Moving on
Alien3 and Alien Reserection
Alien V. Predator
I kinda want to say, Day of the Dead, but it wasn't that bad.
Nightmare on Elm St 2
Yes, indeed 9th Gate blew chunks
Both Blade movies were shit.

I can't speak for everyone so I just speak for myself and the voices in my head.

"The Ring" was okay, but drawn out. And I can't believe they toned down on the goriness of the victims Samara killed. And what the fuck was the deal with Leatherface being a crossdressing retard? He was a badass, ruthless killer in part one. :)

"The Dead Hate The Living"? Fuck that. Most Full Moon movies are pretty bad considering they have at least a decent budget.

I have a question about the Ring, because it's one of the things that really pissed me off and made me think this movie was really stupid (but friends say I'm wrong but don't say why). Here it is:

The mother shoved Samara down a well. I swear that happened in some field with horses, which I thought was on that island where the horse ranch was. So, how does Samara end up in a well under a cabin in the mountains??????

I await enlightenment.

The Ring was an inferior remake of Ring, a japanese film which, unfortunately, is in Japanese, so many western movie fans haven't seen it. It is well worth the time, but only if you haven't seen The Ring.

Anyway, in the Ring, the well isn't on the island. It's on the mainland. So I assume this is the case in The Ring as well.

Worst film? There are some bad ones but I'd nominate Dungeons and Dragons. Great game, shame about the movie! The acting was atrocious. I swear that Jeremy Irons was taking the p***

Well it didn't rip off the Exorcist at all, it just so happened to be another osession movie. The Exorcist wasn't the very first "definition" of what a possesed person acts/looks like. And this kid actually acted kinda different, and, unlike The Exorcist, he was stronger, and instead of eing tyed down, he murdered his entire family. So I dont think it's fair to say it ripped off The Exorcist.

Unfortunately not correct, but a good guess, to be sure!

Here's a couple of hints that will make the question worse:

It's not a line of dialogue--it's a bit of graffiti spraypainted on a wall in some "action movie" that features graffiti. And no, it's not "The Warriors."

The Cable Guy is a dark, somewhat disturbing movie... and not just the usual vehicle for Carrey's rubberfaced mugging.

Because audiences expected another of the actor's lightweight fun routines, this came as a nice surprise from Ben Stiller.

After The Truman Show, Carrey's best film.

hard to say - i think two reasons: 1) i've felt for quite some time that Quentin Tarantino is overrated (and his hype was unrelenting at the time) and 2) i thought the film twisted and turned without rhyme or reason and had a level of heartlessness (what a weird criticism on a horror forum) that i wasn't prepared for. I mean, Henry: POASK is a heartless film - but in a way that makes a deep and resonating (if disturbing point) but FDTD was heartless and pointless. I think, for me, the rape/slaughter scene near the beginning was harsh - but then the film became a cartoon and I couldn't feel sorry for QT's character (even though I felt the film was portraying him as a protagonist). - oh, and I generally hate George Clooney (although Goodnight and Good Luck was BRILLIANT).

and, Maggie is right ( as always), House of 1000 Corpses is dreadful - but I chalk that up to incompetence rather than heartlessness.

Napoleon Dynamite was SOOOOOOOO over-rated. A few funny quotes does not a great movie make. I was thinking back to the past few months and I'd say either Undead or Wild Zero... but I think Wild Zero dissapointed me because I had high hopes for it. I think maybe it would have been better if my friends hadn't hyped it so I've come to the realization that the worst movie I've seen all year is either Undead or Dead End (heh, threw that one in last second didn't I?).

Oh, and Zero... you really felt QT's charecter was portrayed as the/a protagonist? Interesting point of view.

I liked from Dusk til Dawn. It was a camp vampire flick, but it was entertaining. I'll tell you what I hated: Natural Born Killers... that movie was ridiculously stupid. Maybe it's because I watched it stoned in a shitty theatre, or maybe I had my period, I don't know. I just know that half way through the picture, I was like, this is shite. I wanna go home. The concept was decent, but the characters sucked.

PR3SSUR3
11-29-2005, 07:13 AM
Hmmm, I'm beginning to think Zero doesn't like surprises!

:p

That From Dusk 'Till Dawn is not on rails and might hit you with its own brand of immoralities is its virtue. Tarantino (in probably his finest performance, and he is indeed a nasty bastard in this murderer/sex offender role) is certainly not the protagonist in this picture; the (predominantly male) audience is most likely to identify with George Clooney, who - let's face it - is undeniably fucking cool as the less psychopathic Seth Gecko (from his fine handling of Tarantino's one-liners to that awesome tattoo).

From Dusk 'Till Dawn is wreckless and, again, with a killer unpredictable twist - this kind of thing had never been done before, and was a welcome change from the usual hip crime thrillers or splashy vampire epics of the time.

By fusing these genres together in the same movie in such a bold and confident fashion, Rodriguez challenged his audience... I for one bought it hook, line and sinker.

Has anyone heard of the 1986 film April Fools Day? That is reallly bad. Yes, there are a lot of april fools involved (pretending to drown/ sitting on a whoppee cushion... the usual pranks), but the dreadful acting, lack of plot and ridiculous ending makes it one of the worst.

And in terms of making me feel ill.... the remake of The Hills Have Eyes, 2006, uncut version, which I didn't know I was watching until half-way through! The scene when they are holding the baby, and when the young girl is attacked in the van made me switch off. Wouldn't even class that as horror, just utter disgust!

If it has a good soundtrack, then it has a redeeming quality and therefore can't be the worst movie ever.

That's a matter of opinion...It's an ICP soundtrack :p

Should have just bought the CD...

LMAO

I personally looooved April Fools Day. Loved it.

Think i've seen that one 6 times or more.

I loved it too, hell I own it....wait are you serious? ;) I have a soft spot for cheesy '80s horror.

I've seen a lot of bad....so much bad that I am not sure I can actually say what the WORST is. But Zombie Nation was so bad that it wasn't even fun. Though the zombie make up was pretty funny.

Apparently, you haven't seen Killjoy or Dark Harvest 2

Ah yes, forgot about Dark Harvest 2.....convinced that is the most boring movie ever made. Still can't believe we watched the whole damn movie.

I'm struggling to choose between 5, they were all just so so bad:

Poltergeist (2015 remake)
Drag Me To Hell
Final Girls
Afflicted
The Diabolical

What was so bad about Drag Me To Hell?
I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Im with you, Drag me to Hell is a pretty damn good movie.

Why I hated Drag Me To Hell:

1. It wasn't scary
2. The thing with the button was a joke
3. I hated the main character
4. The storyline had nothing going for it
5. It used every cliche in the book
6. Character development was limited/forced

It was an unoriginal, cliche ridden, badly made movie with nothing going for it in any aspect. I hated the random elements of comedy that made it seem unsure of its own genre, and I found it worse than boring.

The Diabolical

I actually just watched this one. It wasn't good, but I've certainly seen a LOT worse. Examples:

Dark Shadows
Poultrygeist
Raptor Ranch
The Feeding
The Slaughterhouse Massacre
Hold Your Breath
Shark Week
3-Headed Shark Attack
From Dusk Til Dawn 3: Hangman's Daughter
House on Haunted Hill (1999)
Age of Dinosaurs

...Just to name a few. 'Track movies' topic came in handy for this. Lol

I thought It Follows was decent to good, certainly not the worst film ever seen. And, expect some serious pushback on Unfriended, a film one member believes is this decade's Friday the 13th.

I didn't like it much either. I could stomach 1000 Corpses much more than the other two Rob films I saw... and I'm not talking about gore; I mean the dialogue and general min-by-min content of the stories. Not my sense of humor isn't the half of it. It's like watching an unbearable hellish society of characters... like the 1st morning family kitchen scene in Halloween... I want to humbly grieve with every viewer who can relate with the scene situation... there's just a partial relief when the characters stop talking. Does anyone know what I mean?

I'm not much into completely bad movies, as I hope to bail on every one of them. But Children of Corn was really bad to me. At least it was fun to make fun of afterward.

Darkstar was the worst movie I didn't bail on. It's sort of horror.

Probably would be the Ring 2, but never took the time to see because I knew it would be 10 times worse than the origional, and not just because its a sequal.
