Will Rahmer of the band Mortician arrested in Poland

This is not a joke and normally I wouldnt do a post like this but Will is a friend of mine and he has been arrested under VERY questionable charges this week while touring in Poland. If you have read the bullshit on blogs and forums then it is shit, he does NOT do drugs this is complete bullshit and this is really messed up. Yeah, Will's a friend of mine too. Sounds to me like he got busted for drugs, although I have never seen him use em. Drinks a lot, though. :) I could contact my buddy Rich from the former band "Fleshgrind" and see if he has any other information. When he was in the band, he had a shitload of contacts and he might be able to find out more of the truth. I hope nothing happens to Will. Like you said, a major metal and horror fan, as am I. In fact, when Mortician played in Chicago last year, I brought my Jason outfit which I quickly threw on to go on stage for a brief 2 minutes. That was fun. :) I'll try calling Rich to find out exactly what's going on.

I know of the band Mortician, although I'm not exactly a fan. What exactly is Rahmer accused of? I tried looking through the link but didn't really find any information. I'm always willing to help someone that's been wrongfully accused, but I'd like to know some more facts about the case first.

Apparently Will was sick and all he wanted was to come back to the states. Actually his family and friends still dont know what is exactly going on because they are not over there and Elena (his g/f) hasnt talk to him on the phone. They are clueless too. All they know is they are accusing him of threaning a cab driver with a knife and stealing his taxi. They do know they are focusing a lot of shit on his appearance and his band (which is all horror) So this is all I know.

That says it right there. I remember as a kid in high school priests and religious zelots would try every trick and bullshit technique they could devise to try to talk bad about heavy metal music in general. They went on to talk how metal desensitizes a person like "a frog in slowly heated water. It stayed there until it boiled." :rolleyes: No fuckin shit.... wow, a cold blooded creature compared to a warm blooded human that also has the capability of rational thought. As well as the "wailing guitar sounds" and how the lyrics were of hatred, despair and violence as well as drug use. I laughed my ass off when they took a tape of some lame christian metal band (forgot the name) and bashed it. It was then 100% obvious they simply hated the sound and image of heavy metal, and content was secondary. Now I think the bullshit reasoning they try to use is "rock/metal music is religion" or some shit like that. Even country songs have mentioned shit like violence, or drug/alcohol abuse, maybe not as controversial, but nothing of that sort was even mentioned. Go figure. :rolleyes:

Even when I was a metal head, (long hair, ripped faded clothes), almost everyone was under the notion that it was all the metalheads that did all the drugs, even heroine and coke which we could never even afford at that. In fact, some of the honor students were major cokeheads, but that was more or less kept under raps. Gee, I can't imagine why. :rolleyes: Finally, now everyone gets looked at because drug use because too many people that "didn't fit the image" were getting caught.
Then was the bullshit with the Parents Music Resource Center which fucked things up. They argued that rock music was destroying the minds of kids with sex, drugs, violence and what have you. Which I always liked to call them Pre Menstral Retarded Cunts because they were just as bad as those idiot priests and zealots. Even Frank Zappa had this so say about their so-called "explicit content" labeling....

The PMRC proposal is an ill-conceived piece of nonsense which fails to deliver any real benefits to children, infringes the civil liberties of people who are not children and promises to keep the courts busy for years dealing with the interpretation and enforcement problems inherent in the proposal's design... I don't know they say they know nothing but yet, they seem to know what is going on in the cops head. How do they know that they are focusing on the fact that his appearance is all "horror"? Shit , they are probably better off than most of us.
However heres what i think..
Rightfully so ..in some cases..there are dickheads out there that take thier movies..music ..vid games to the extreme..not all...just some.
It shows in the way kids behave these days..they copy thier fav musicians way of dressing...speaking...walking.etc...
thats what fans do..
Its the same with gaming ..i have seen the changes in alot of youths that i work with..
thier attitudes...need for speed is a good example...look at how many boy racers that movie has produced.
But,,its not the musicians or the gamings fault but its how these kids interpret wot they listen to or play.
