I just wanted to know what everybody thought of House of Wax! I personally thought it was good! Considering it had Paris Hilton in it!

SPOILER:
I have it and I thought it was just ok... It was pretty slow in the beginning and then it picked up. Paris Hilton is the biggest tool. They made so many references toward her porno tape. Videocamera, same underwear, fake bj scene, etc. It not a movie that i can watch more than twice. And i just cant stand that one dude on the WB show. I just wanna punch him. It could have been better though with better plot and more likeable characters. Where's the gore? very little.

I feel the same way Paris is a tool and once or twice is enough times to see this movie! The end was pretty cool and I liked Vincent he was pretty cool as well!

It committed the cardinal sin of horror movies: that of blandness. The cast, death scenes, etc. were all pretty much interchangeable with any other modern horror movie. Not to mention the fact that the best death scene (Hilton's) was ridiculously fake. And did it ever drag for the first hour and a half or so!

I guess everyone can tell I didn't like it.

I'm gonna watch this tonight. But I'm getting mixed feelings on saying if it's good or not. All the reviews I've seen ranges from 2 stars to 5 stars.

It was okay - not a hangable offence - but not somthing that will stick to the inside of your skull and tickle your lobes.

Solid, very interesting visually at times. However, it decided to instead of being a remake of a great film take on an entirely different school of horror. It turned from a classy period piece to a traditional rural horror film. This killer redneck trend, while very telling of things we have to be afraid of, just keeps churning out Peter Rabbit stories. With its faux artsy look and its derivative take, its nothing special. Eye candy and assembly line niche slashing.
