I think the first horror movie I ever watched was either Night of the Living Dead or Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives, both of which creeped me out big-time and started me down the horror path.

Dark Night of the Scarecrow, a TV movie, really freaked me out.

I had to turn off Cujo, Nightbreed, and Texas Chainsaw.

The eyeball hand from The Gate gave me nightmares.

I think I was most terrified by Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

And let us not forget IT.

I'm not sure if this is the right title, The People Under the Stairs!

Child's Play, but so did Demonic Toys... I just hate dolls or puppets that even remotely look alive.

...creeps me out.

I read the Amityville Horror book when I was wee and it gave me the heebie-jeebies for days.

I still haven't seen any of the movies but I recently watched a documentary called The Real Amityville Horror which basically debunked the whole thing.

I wanted to believe!

I watched a couple Unviversal flicks when I was around 4, they never scared me...I think the first time a MOVIE scared me was Blair Witch Project. Books and TV on the other hand....different story. All those "real" ghost shows on TV scared me shitless till I was like 10, and I had this book called 10 Scariest Places in America or something like that, I read part of it and my parents hads to take it away cause it gave me nightmares:(

Ill have to see if that book's laying around here somewhere....

It sounds silly now, and it's totally embarrassing, but what the hell, I'll tell. It was Pee Wee's Big Adventure. You know the scene where the truck driver picks Pee Wee up, and then turns into a horrible monster? Yeah, that scared the living crap out of me.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

I suppose we should also discuss the "Thriller" video.

Hellraiser, NOES1, and for some reason, Critters.
Those come to mind with what scared me as a kid.

Thats nothing to be ashamed of, I myself have experienced the child-like fear of the daleks and cybermen, although you do ask yourself why now.

Candyman 3, Day of the Dead was the first horror movie I ever saw, I was really young, and I was scared of it forever. Nightmares for a month.
