I'am down at the local super market looking for some stuff & sitting in the bargin bin next to a copy of Night of the living dead is C.H.U.D.. I had to pick it up & it was 3.00 so it came home with me. Its a fun little movie but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why the monster's neck extends. What was the meaning of this. Was he trying to see over the leads shoulder? Was there something on a shelf? Well its a fun movie & its going next to my copy of The Sword & The Sorcerer. :D

Yeah, CHUD was a fairly decent low budget movie. I'd rather watch a crappy "B" film that a piss poor "A" movie. And the "Cannabalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers" was supposed to mean something like "Chemical Hazard Urban Disposal" which the toxic waste is what turned the bums into those creatures. I didn't care for the sequel though. Bud The CHUD and that "zombie" dog was just too ridiculous to sit through.
I bought C.H.U.D. at Walmart for 5 bucks. Good one to add to the collection.

Overrated! Not enough C.H.U.D. in the damn movie! And they don't even kill anyone, at least not on screen, from what I remember. Some chick sees one in the bathroom and its neck gets all E.T. and that's it! Of course I haven't seen it in awhile so I may have blocked out the awesomeness everyone sees in this movie.

It wasn't great, but a decent low budget monster movie. In fact, that movie is better than some of the big productions movies of today.
