I still think the first one was better, I liked the idea of guessing who the killer is even though Jigsaw didn't physicly kill anyone.
But he was responisble for everyones death in Saw 2. He released the nerve agent that would have killed all of them even if Xavier hadn't gone crazy. I still think that because he put the "players" in his game that he killed them even though it was the "players" inability to finish the game that causes their death.
I really liked the very end of the film, I really think that this series could continue.

Saw it last night. I thought it was very well done, and intense as all. (made me cringe a few times). I thought the first one was great, but this one is so much better...and I love how it's actually a "sequal", not a totally different story all togther as most sequals are, it even had eliments from the first in it. Better acting, better story, and it even sets up for a #3...which I'm not sure how good it will be considering what it's dealing with. 9/10 :)
Am I the only one who seems to feel bad for the bad guys?

I just came back from Saw 2, and I can say it was pretty good, but I hope they dont screw it up by making Saw 3, which from judging by the ending, that is probably were they are headed.

I love it ! One of the best sequals to a movie. I do like how they played the first one into this as well. Xavier was just a bad mother fucker Its a toss up between him and the cop though !

I thought this movie was awesome, I thought the first was awesome ass well, Its really hard for me to decide which is better, I love How the "killer" ( i dont know how else to label him ) takes the people and puts them in situations that if they survive they will appreciate life more, and wont be so foolish and let it go by. I just thought it was a great movie and they have great endings.

Good film.
It would be a mistake to make Saw 3.
Im kinda shock that so many people like Saw 2. Seems like lot of people were kinda mixed on Saw 1 and yet everyone seems to love Saw 2. I cant wait to see it.

What kills sequels of movies is when they make the same thing over and over. If someone can come up with fresh, new directions for a movie, the sequels can be just as good as the first movie.

I must have seen a different film to everyone else.In the history of bad sequels this is right up there among the worst. The only thing that shocked me was how bad this film was.It is very rare I contemplate walking out of the cinema during a movie, in fact the only time it has crossed my mind was Blair Witch 2,but after half hour of Saw 2 I seriously considered it.However I stuck with it and wished I hadn't.
Saw was one of my favourite films of 2004 but this sequel is pathetic.Terrible acting, dumb dialogue, poor soundtrack, ridiculous story, totally unscary and crap direction.

I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard it is suppose
to be good. I guess I will have to wait til it comes out on
video.
SPOILER:
This is a movie where the sequel is slightly better than the original. Saw 2 had better plot, better acting, more gore and much better ending. Saw 1 ending was pretty silly. Donnie Walhberg (aka New Kids on the Block) did a fine job. And that big spanish dude was pretty cool. He definitely reminded me of the crazy dude in the movie "Cube". The only problem that I have with this movie is that its trying to impress you with traps and gore rather than build suspense (such as High Tension). Saw 2 could have used to some jump scenes as well just to be more scarier. For example, put a trap that just POPS OUT and makes the crowd jump. However, the movie rocks and I give it a 8.5 out of 10. Better than the original! TDR kinda falls in the same category because its not really suspensful and scary but still great films.

There was no nerve agent released, damnit cant you follow a simple plot line?

anyway...how can you say the acting is worse than the first? The acting in Saw was TERRIBLE, cool movie, but yes,TERRIBLE ACTING. Saw 2 has to be one of the best sequals I have ever seen because it's an actual sequal...and personally I thought the acting was great, In Saw it wasn't even convincing.
Oh yeah...that was Donnie?? He looks so much like his brother that's who I thought it was, haha. But yeah, nice come back.

Went to see this last night and was pleasantly suprised. Quite a good film for a sequel. But in my opinion not as good as the first one.
The plot was quite obvious though to be honest. I think you know who's gonna be the main victim as soon as you see the character. You're just anticipating the horrible stuff thats gonna happen to him/her.
Thought the old 'trapped in a house full of gadgets' thing has been done to death but I was quite suprised with how good the 'challenges' were that the victims had to overcome.
The twist at the end was pretty imaginative but there were a few lame aspects to it.
Also, there's a really impressive link to the first one in there. When the shot appeared, all the people who'd obviously seen the first one gasped. That was cool.
Cant really go into much more detail than that without ruining the plot. I would defo recommend you go and see this at the cinema. You wont appreciate it half as much on your tv.

Actually they did breathe in the nurve gas. If you are wondering why Amanda and the boy didn't die, it's obvious, they were given the antidote. I don't know but Beverly Mitchell dying on the floor due to the fact that it was in her system and everyone else coughing up blood means that it's there.

I really liked Saw 2 and those saying "I hope they don't screw it up and make a Saw 3" are probably the ones who said "I hope they don't ruin Saw and make a Saw 2". Oh, and bad sequels don't ruin anything anyway. I like Texas Chainsaw Massacre no matter how crappy any of the sequels are. Bah I say!

Well, if it's already confirmed i guess we just gotta hope for the best :-) i was stoked about saw 2, and it exceeded my expectations...
they have to be really careful with the third one, i reckon..the first two were so good, there's a lot of pressure riding on them to do a good job with the third...
i'm super interested to see it, but i hope it's not just a 'more of the same' type thing...i'd like to still see a bit of a progression of storyline...
