The majority of these remakes which are getting made at the moment are usually pretty crap. If you could remake a film, same director, same cast but with unlimited budget what would it be?
For me i'd want to see Bubba Hotep, i loved the film but it needed an Elvis soundtrack and better FX would'nt hurt either.

I'd want to see Gremlins remade. Only instead of the stupid happy ending, I wanna see Stripe eat Gizmo, become immune to sunlight, grow to 6'2, fight "Alien," and then team up with Freddy to fight Jason, Micheal, and Predator, who each have a leg tied to the other.

Oh, and there's a horde of zombies on the loose...not that our main characters care, because they're all bad guys anyway.

Not technically a horror film - but I'd choose Radioactive Dreams - a mid-80s totally cheese-ball indie film about two kids whose parents stick them in a bunker just before a nuclear war and they grow up in the bunker alone reading old Sam Spade-style 40s noir mysteries. Eventually they come out of the bunker wearing zoot suits and run around encountering the Road Warrior-esque inhabitants acting like they stepped out of a Humphrey Bogart film.

The whole thing was silly and poorly made - but a really cool idea.

I don't know, if it could be done WELL I'd pick Willow. If I had to choose Horror I'd probably say Zombi 2.

Fantasy remake, eh? What about Legend? Nah, they couldn't improve on it. One thing I would like to see (although they couldn't really improve on this one either) is a good remake of The Haunting. Yeah, I know the remake it got was flat out awful, but if they'd stuck to the spirit of the original, it could have been good...

Hellraiser

Hell could look a lot better with today's special effects... let alone Pinhead.

Hell yeah, and go to an independent film maker for unlimited gore and violence as it should be. I myself would also like to see a remake of Gremlins, but scary as hell. With the aid of computers, the germlins should look quite real. And lose the comedy. All dark and dismal just like the horror films from the 70's and early 80's.

I'd also like to see Bad Taste redone, Trouble is Jackson would have to try & make it 3 hours long & then release D.C of the film clocking in at 4 hours.
