Really disturbing, and high quality movie. I don't think, i can watch it once more, because i can't stand Italian dialogues. They speak like they gonna kill each other; very fast and furious. And i get nervous.
Also, the casting is superb!!! They act almost more than real at some scenes...

Irreversible is an excellent film, and it is probably one of the most disturbing that I've seen. I've seen Guinea Pig, Aftermath and some Italian cannibal movies, stuff that's generally considered to be the hardest of the hardcore. But there are two scenes in this film that are extremely difficult to watch, for me at least. I'm sure Maerlyn knows which two I'm talking about. Just prepare to be depressed when the movie's over.

Yeah, those 2 scenes are so real, shocking and disturbing that i can not forget them in all my life. And obviously the aim is to disturb and i appreciate that.
I could stand but some of my friends say they left the cinema before the second half begins.

No, it was Italian. They were only ACTING like it was French. The acting was really good in this movie.

I am about as hardened a gorehound as they come, so I wasn't especially rocked by "the" scenes, but they weren't exactly fun to watch either. I can't put my finger on why exactly but I found the movie more pretentious than disturbing. It almost seemed like the filmmakers were trying too hard to make a powerful/disturbing movie. :-\

If I got behind a movie camera, I'd make movies so twisted and gory it would make God scream. :D

I usually don't care for the subtitles cause you either read what they're saying and miss the movie, or watch the movie and miss what they're saying. I don't mind dubbing as long as it's not comical sounding.
