Well, they'll probably put someone fucking stupid in the role, like Steve Martin. Maybe Vin Diesel will play Michael!

Oh for crying out loud...they're remaking this too? "THIS AIN'T YOUR DADDY'S HALLOWEEN." Yeah right. THAT'll work. Well, to answer your question...hmmmm........I would say........Anthony Hopkins.
Vin Diesel as The Shape is actually not a bad idea, if they had to do it.

Becuse they have no more original ideas for horror movies.
No one can replace Donald Pleasence
I dont think they should make a remake let it rest

If they have to have a remake they probably wont have a another bald guy in that role. They should be trying to stamp their own identity on the film. Someone like Lance Henrikson might fit the bill.

Why all the remakes? Because mass audiences don't like old movies anymore. And *gasp* sometimes you DO have to cater to the mass audiences.

Isn't it obvious?
Leslie Neilsen is the only possible replacement for Donald Pleasance.:D

some thing i wouldnt mind seeing is a sort of michael myers clone, not really a clone but a person that is basicly the same as mike, cause in 6 they sort of explained why mike is the way he is. i think that might be ok.

i was just joking about the pecard thing he is a great actor( even if that is what most people know him for), but i just dont see him playing that role, as a matter of fact i dont see any body being able to fill pleasence's shoes.

Yes, I think You're on to something here, a "Michael Myers clone".
He could be basically the same but dress up in womens clothing. maybe he could go on a killing spree wearing a lace teddy and some high heels, fishnet stockings couldn't hurt either.
See what happens when 2 great minds come together.:D

Irksome as he is (IMO), and as much as I get a pedophile vibe from him...what about James Spader?

Anothony Hopkins would be a terrible idea. I just don't like him anymore as a actor and using him wold give the film a real pretentious feel..... and I doubt he'd "lower" himself to appearing in a slasher film
I agree with Ed Harris and Lance Henriksen tho..... Lesie Neelson could actually work but people just recognise him as a spoof actor so I don't see it happening. He was great in Creepshow and Prom Night. Bob Hoskins isn't a bad idea either he definatley has a similar delevery as Pleasence.... I think he'd be my choice.
Harvey Keitel could work aswell but maybe he's to much of a tuff guy for the role.
So this remake is actually going ahead is it?
I'd personally rather see them spend their time on decent sequel (I've liked them all personally except Ressurrection but that had some great moments especially the opening).

He could be a good choice, he has the look and the presence but i think his recent roles have stereotyped him too much. All he seems to do these days is shout in a cockney accent

Oh.
Uh.
Donald Pleasense didn't play a bad guy in Halloween...
Plus, if they picked Robin Williams, then horror's gone straight to hell.
