I dont actually have anyy confirmation on alot of these, but according to rumours Ive heard we should be seeing:

Iron Man [REALLY hope this one isnt bullshit]
Fantastic Four 2 [Hopefully they come up with a better name]
Punisher 2 [Could be pretty good]
Wolverine [Spinoff from the X-Men franchise]
Captain America [Could go either way...]

And of course a slew of confirmed ones like X-Men 3 and Spiderman 3, Ghost Rider, Hellboy 2 ect.

Im REALLY hoping Iron Man turns out to be more than a rumor. Ive heared about it on a few different sites, but nothing thats overly reliable. He's definatly one of my faveourite heros, and definatly deserves the movie treatment. If he wast already Batman, Id say Christian Bale would make a good Tony Stark, but I doubt he'd do another Superhero role. Jim Caveizal [sp?] would probably be good, too. Ive heared Ohed Fehr's name thrown around on IMDB....I dont like the idea, but alot of people seem to.

I think Stark needs to be a little older than Bale, as to WHO...I'm not sure. Then again, it's probably not the age thing...I just don't think Bale would be right in this case. What about Nathan Fillion, the captain guy from Serenity? He could probably wing it.
I'm just hoping that Tom Cruise DOESN'T get the role...Iron man doesn't need to be THAT faggy. Not only is an iron man film rumoured, but also...the avengers. Now THAT could be either very good, or very bad.

The captain america movie, if it ever gets made, will be little more than your standard action movie, IMO...an action movie with a goofy looking shield.

They ought to get David Anders to play a badguy in one of these films...if you know who he is, you'd probably agree.

I'd be surprised if they didn't try to follow up Batman begins...if not it'd seem a waste of a freshly created universe.

I agree, Fantastic 4 #2 would sound stupid...they should just make it FF again, but with a subtitle.

There's a ghostrider trailer up at upcominghorrormovies.com, but for some reason I can't get it to work.

Also, not that it's really "superhero", but Robert Rodriguez claims
he fully intends to follow up sin city, and there ARE many stories of past and present set in the same universe. We're talking prequel and multiple sequel possibilities. Although, a trilogy would probably cut it...I'd like to see an animated segment in one of them though, they could do some amazing things there.

They could always make films or cartoon series based on the marvel "ultimate" universe...those stories are quite good - played ultimate spiderman yet?

TOM CRUISE!?!?! I feel sick....

Havnt seen Serenity yet, but as far as I can tell from the trailers, that guy probably would be OK. My top pick's still Caviezel, though. Seen Highwaymen? Definatly could make a very good Stark.

An Avengers movie could be good, but Id rather seperate movies for the better members .

I think they could pull it off pretty well. Go into his WW2 history, bring in the good ol' Red Skull....I think it could be damn good. Any ideas for casting? Nothing really comes to mind for me....

BTW- I like the shield :P

Never heared of him, so I checked him out on IMDB. Not a big fan at all of Alias, only watched it once or twice. Not my style.

So many rumors about that floating around. Damn well better have the Joker, cause the Joker is amazing. I think Nolan could really fly with a Joker plot.

Good idea.

Even though alot of people hated it, I thought the first one was really good. Aside from Alba, I thought the cast was great. Doom took a bit of getting used to, but I liked the modern treatment on him. Sequel should be fun, I think.

Must be something wrong with the site, wont work for me either. Sounds like a kickass movie though, even though I dont know a whole lot about GR. Normally I cant stand Nick Cage, but alot of fas of the comics think he'll be good, so I cant argure, I guess.

Supposedly, he's comitted to putting EVERY Sin City story on film. As usual, I havnt actually read the comics, the movie was so kickass, I ant wait for some sequels.

From what Ive noticed, alot seem to take bits and pieces from the Ultimate anyway.

And no, I havnt had a chance yet. Still trying to get through Marvel Nemesis. Cant wait to try it though, gonna be awesme to use Venom in a game like that. Still need to pick up X-Men Legends 2, too.

I know venom is in the storyline of the gamne, but I really don't think you're gonna get to use him in this one...in the storyline, they're very much enemies, still at this point.

BTW- I like the shield :P
Hey, I don't have anything against the shield, just think it'd look goofy bought to film...maybe if they used that holographic kinda shield he had a while ago in the comics, like, if they high tech him a little. Although, yeah maybe if they spanned through different times for a red skull story, that'd be good.

TOM CRUISE!?!?! I feel sick....
Absolutely...

Sounds like a kickass movie though, even though I dont know a whole lot about GR
Not much to know...as I recall, it was originally about a circus stunt biker guy, his dad died and he ended up making a deal with the devil to see his father again, got fucked over on that, and ended up host to a demon that posed as a "spirit of vengeance", and takes over his body from time to time...eventually, he ditched the demon, and is still a character in the ghost rider continuity...
They had a second series of GR too, about an ACTUAL spirit of vengeance, and a different guy. So hey, always sequel potential, I just REALLY hope they make it dark enough.

Normally I cant stand Nick Cage, but alot of fas of the comics think he'll be good, so I cant argure, I guess.
Supposedly he's a HUGE comics nut...in fact his stage name was changed from Coppola to Cage as a homage to a comic hero "Luke Cage aka Power Man"..haha, although naming his kid after superman was kinda psycho. Either way, I don't mind him, I'll see the film.

From what Ive noticed, alot seem to take bits and pieces from the Ultimate anyway.
Actually, it's kinda the other way around. You should check out some of the ultimate stuff, I could always U/L it to you, I have just about everything.

So, does anybody know if Christopher Nolan will be dealing with the Joker and Two Face in the next Batman, as per the rumor I heard a couple months ago? That would make for a pretty claustrophobic storyline. Way too much is going on with both of them to flesh out origin stories and bring in Harvey Dent from scratch. Katie Holmes' DA character felt excessive for that reason (among many others, the least of which being that she didn't even behave vaguely like a DA) and Dent's story takes a lot of space. Especially since they seem to be doing a Year One/Long Halloween sort of thing. Nolan really needs to get his act together on the sequel if he is going to deal with either of these characters. His Gotham doesn't have that much punch or personality and Christian Bale needs to stop playing Patrick Bateman and get some facial expressions. Bruce Wayne might be icy, but it should be clear that the ice is concealing something as opposed to being the whole of the man's demeanor. As for Iron Man, Nathan Fillon may be a pretty good idea, but whoever's chosen needs to be a master of smirking superiority. It would actually be better to do an Ultimates/ Avengers movie, which they would if they had any real insight. Cap is way too boring and straightlaced to hold up his own movie and the Ultimates' new take on Thor is very cool.

Id have to assume that you havnt seen the TV spots? They advertise that you can "Defend NY as Spiderman, or Tear up the Streets as Venom". Or something like that. Either way, they advertise that you get to use Venom in all his evil glory:D

Hey, I don't have anything against the shield, just think it'd look goofy bought to film...maybe if they used that holographic kinda shield he had a while ago in the comics, like, if they high tech him a little. Not a bad idea, would be neat to see a twist on the shield. And I cant imagine it being much good if they left out the Skull, great villain.

Heh...guess I kew quite a bit after all, already knew all that stuff:p

Didnt I hear somewhere that he had a Ghost Rider tatoo that the had to temporarily cover for the movie?

Ya, Ill definatly see it, too. I check out pretty much every Superhero flick in theatres, no matter how good they look. This does sound damn good though.

Actually, it's kinda the other way around. You should check out some of the ultimate stuff, I could always U/L it to you, I have just about everything.

How would you go about doing that? Im pretty bad with computers....Definatly sounds cool though, Id definatly be interested in checking them out.

fastastic four was one of the worst movies ive seen in a long time. the scenes were completely cliche and there was absolutely no character development. although i must admit i didnt mind the presence of jessica alba, i actually think this film actually made me dumber. i would give it a -4/10. as for the sequel, it will more than likely suck balls.

I quite enjoyed FF. It was definatly a check your mind at the door, sit back, relax, and enjoy type of film....but I like that kind of film, every once in awhile:D

Iron Man No Longer at New Line?
Source: Variety October 24, 2005

In an article talking about New Line Cinema, Variety mentions that the studio is likely dropping Iron Man:

Marvel superhero "Iron Man" looks likely to revert back to the comicbook publisher after more than two years of fruitless development.

We'll have to wait and see how this turns out.

Fantastic Four Sequel Date Set
Source: liesse00 October 21, 2005

Box Office Mojo reports that 20th Century Fox is eyeing a July 4th, 2007 release date for the Fantastic Four sequel. It is the same date on which DreamWorks was hoping to have the big screen Transformers in theaters.

Stay tuned for whether or not any of this will change.

Iron Man Returns to Marvel
Source: Variety November 3, 2005

Variety has confirmed that after more than two years of unsuccessful development at New Line, Marvel has taken back film rights to Iron Man, the comic book about an inventor who dons a high-tech suit and becomes a superhero.

The company may raise additional money to produce Iron Man itself as part of its new internal production slate. In such a case, the film would likely be distributed by Paramount, where Marvel has a distribution deal.

"Right now we're concentrating on finding the right creative talent," explained Marvel Studios' Avi Arad. "It's not a part of our slate deal, but we can raise the money to do it if we choose to. We would also have no difficulty licensing it to another studio."

Late last year, the studio announced Nick Cassavetes was attached to direct, but it turned out The Notebook helmer never had a deal. Drafts by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville) and David Hayter (X-Men) didn't get traction.

Marvel will now start development from scratch, commissioning a new script and possibly attaching a director before deciding whether to finance the film itself or license it again. Cassavetes remains a candidate to direct, Arad said.

It might be good for a fight here and there but I think that the story is going to be severly lacking. It kinda looks like Aeon Flux that movie based off of the MTV series.

what are superheros doing in a horror forum haha, they should make this a science- fiction forum, anyway, personally most superhero movies are great and I love Faust just because he looks neat.
what about a movie with an superhero that is actually evil itself and tries to kill all humans and there's no superhero that can stop him, that's kinda boring too you always get 2 sides, the good and the evil, why not just the evil or something.

Ironman must be fun to watch, a movie about captain america ugh could this be any worse? he's the worst superhero I heard of.

Captain America was already made,it sucked monkey balls.
Also the Punisher with Dolph Lundgren(what ever happen to this guy?)sucked big monkey balls. Why not D.C.s The watchmen (rumor was it was plain to see the screen)V for Vendetta looks cool. The Fantastic 4 could have been better.Spider-man is tops, but the one i'm wetting my pants for is "Ghost rider"!!I've always thought he rocked!Hell on wheels, justice the way i like it.I also perfer the vilgilante hero like Ghost rider, the crow.

Brandon Routh. The best bit is using Brando's Jor-El clips from the first film. Re casting that part would have been terrible.
