I seem to recall bobbing for apples a long long time ago. Like, 30 years ago or more. Trying to get a wet apple with your mouth, inside a cold tub of water, is basically impossible! Well, it's difficult as hell, plus you've got people laughing at you. This is a crazy game! Completely crazy!!!! If it's fun, it borders on masochistic fun, like roller coasters and so on, where you do something unpleasant and are surprised at yourself for doing it because, well, it seems a very unlikely thing to be doing. But yeah, I only did it once, and that was probably around 1975; and I remember the elementary school classroom where that was done--a little Halloween party fun, if you will! My, my.
