IMO, you have to have been here for a while, made large amounts of posts and/or be a generally angry or overemotional person, and agree to (in most cases) leave the forum within a week or two of becoming a mod.
Also, you can't show any interest in actually becoming a mod - guess you just done fucked up...

it helps if you were a hall monitor and have a recommendation from a Certified Public Accountant.

Re-reading some of the very old posts from here and wondering, wondering how it could get to this?
It sounded like a very interesting exchange when people were able to say what they wanted.
I am surprised as well at how the mods posted -alot of you guys were extremely interesting back then.
bloodrayne-I loved the things you said, very bold!
zwoti-wow,who knew?It's like a totally different zwoti!
And some of the others actually used to BE here.Cool.
I think alot of people that have been here for a long time wish it would go back to the old way of things as well.
I know personally,I would prefer someone to tell me 'go to hell', instead of ignoring me and me never knowing what I said that pissed them off. At least I would have the chance to tell them they are misunderstanding and to get the pole outta their ass.
Maybe I am missing the point again, but I really think people being honest, even when being assholes,is better than people thinking they have to watch everything they say.
We could have an asshole thread!!-where people COULD say anything we want, and the people that get offended by the slightest thing can "NOT READ IT?":D

Did people actually leave cause people were fighting?
... some are not here as much because you have to actually THINK before you post,or god forbid, someone may be OFFENDED.
Like 'life in general' isn't one big OFFENSIVE trip-huh?
Maybe not a big deal to you all,but that's a hard thing for ME to do.I go back and edit and then forget what I was trying to say in the first place and then finally edit it right and have re-edit because it looks much, much different than how it would sound if I was verbally speaking-etc etc.
No fighting? Who cares?
When you keep adding to the fuel of the fighting it gets tedious-so..... uh,don't.
And it goes away.
Drama is good from time to time,at least the wingnuts are in here and not on the street.
I am all for respecting people-I get that and try very hard to do this, but when you have to censor your personality....I have no idea what point I am trying to make....
Let's all just have some friggin fun? eh? And just talk to one another about anything and everything.

What makes you think that YOU have to change personality or watch what you´re saying?
I mean, you´ve never seemed offensive or like a bitchy troublemaker to me?
In which way do you feel you´ve been forced to change? Give me an example.

I have gotten a few comments on my posts.
And they were taking what I said wayyyyy wrong.
Sometimes what I consider witty banter comes across as flirty.
I didn't realize that being nice was also being flirty in here.....but that about sums up what I mean,I have to edit myself because it sounds differently on the screen than in my mind.
I DO flirt in real life and there's a FINE FINE line you cannot dare cross:D
It is almost an art, because there is energy, body language, eye contact etc etc.,when to say what, how to give That Look, body postions, when to pull back energy because the FINE line starts coming up.....It can be complicated or simple.
And it is nice for someone as OLD as me to have that attention from time to time:D

Its easy enuf done tho. You can say or do one thing with friends and because they know you there is no ambiguity, whereas communicating via computers with people uve never met there will always be some cases ' did he mean it that way or this?' The best policy would be to feel free to be yourself and any misunderstandings will have to be sorted out should they arise.
As for zwoti being sterner, i personally wouldn't know being a new boy here but bear in mind he is a QPR fan. They have been a surly bunch for a few years now!

but is that a change in me or the current membership?
the majority of the members i got on with no longer (or very rarely) visit this forum anymore (for various reasons) so i spend most of my time elsewhere in search of discussion and entertainment
