Yup, didnt you get the memo trip? the internet is only used for whoring yourself and products...
that whole "educational" angle was just a marketing tool used to get the masses sucked into this...so we can all get together and buy useless shit while watching porn.
----
Because i dont own the rights to the original, i cant release it officially through a dance label, so im pressing it to whitelabel ..so djs can spin it on vinyl in the nyc area.
Thanks for digging.
Definitly good to pump loud.

It's not exactly 'techno' but I see what you mean.
To each his own.
What would you call it SKOOFX?
Progressive dance?
Can it be called club trip hop if it takes progressive and remixes?

Techno is a type of electronic music. This is veryy veryy far from techno.
Most people call ANYTHING thats electronic "techno" - I bet most people havent even heard real techno (im not a fan either...too noisy and just ehh- i dunno, hearing real techno is very rare.)The electronic stuff thats popular and floats on the web sound NOTHING like techno.
Eric clapton, metallica, simple plan all use guitars..do they sound the same? nope.
thats the analogy i like to use.
electronic music can be anything from
trance
house
funk
progressive
gaba
hardcore
nu nrg
breakbeats
jungle drum and bass
hard house
psy
goa
and the list goes on like 100x more(because there arent limnits when it comes to electronic music)
this i would call tribal tech-house.
But its all good newb, differnet people haev different tastes. Just dont dismiss all electronic music as techno. You might find some genre of electronic shit that u might dig. Too many to even list.

Thanks :)
I did a remix of perfect drug a while back, (like 7 years ago) but it wasnt too good. I was proud of it, but looking back it wasnt anything too special. It was when i first started out in "audio".
Pardon my ignorance. I'm old school rock & roll. ...techno..trance..gaba..it all sounds the same to these old ears.
But i don't begrudge anybodys taste in music. Whatever floats your boat.
Although back in the early 80's.....you could always find me with a "Disco Sucks" T-shirt on whilst listening to some Freebird.

That is VERY cool Skoof. Nice.
BTW, I'm not sure if you listen to him or not...but I'm in love with Sasha's "Involver" album lately...I know it's not too recent...but just something that's in my regular rotation.
I also love anything "Way out West" does...I think I just about wore out their "Intensify" cd...so good, in my opinion :) Not sure if you'd be into it though....again, it's not new or anything...but it's always been a fav. of mine.

I love Way out west. Very deep trance. Beautiful mellow shit.
I like uplifting trance more.
Check out the free set on my website.

If you like armin van buuren / paul van dyk style vocal trance, you might like the mix.

So you're self-promoting a thread self-promoting your music.
Yeah you're right, that IS shameless...:p
I'm with Newb, I don't get techno(trance) music. is it called trance because it takes so long to get to the music? Or because its so long? I'm not tryin' to be a dick, I'm just confused. There was like 5 minutes before anything really happened in your song.

Well dance music is made for mixing.
A dj at a nightclub ( a true dj) will have 2 or 3 songs playing at once for about 3 minutes before entering just one song.
so the long intro's and outros are created so a dj can toss the first 2-3 minutes of a song ontop of another song (hence the turntables and a mixer)..get it? and the outro is reserved for the same thing...
this makes the music go on and on..and the dancing keeps going. Real djing isnt just playing music...its like palying an instrument...its flowing a bunch of tracks all together seamlessly for hours apon hours without anyone noticing that the songs really changed..
I grew up on this stuff when i was traveling at a young age in europe. Its been around for over 2 decades, but just now the US is catching on. Its a subculture. A huge subculture.

Agreed...it's just about creating a mood, so that you totally lose yourself in the music...and become unaware that anything else exists kinda...if you continuously blend the music, it's easier to get lost in it...rather than being aware that the DJ is switching to a new track...that kinda kills it.
It just allows you to never get out of your "zone" for lack of a better term...cause in my opinion, it just sucks when you're at a club and you're totally enjoying the music or particular song that's playing...and all of a sudden a totally new genre is thrown into the mix etc...it takes you out of the moment.

Djing/EDM is on the decline. Just like everything else, it became a trend. Hence producing lots of crap and shitty artists who dont know the first thing of the culture. The mega clubs, the music, the vibe isnt the way it used to be.
kinda like horror.
once something becomes popular, alot of people want in. Once they want in, they dont care the way the original people did it. So they just speed things up ..talking like they know..picking up things here and there, but just copying. Like a xerox, the more copies..the lesser the quality.
