Cthulhu reading?

Ok, though my travels in horror movies and across the internet, Ive picked up bits and pieces of Cthulhu and other Mythos type stuff. However, I still really dont know much of anything. Is there anything I should read to get caught up?

I would recommend Black Seas of Infinity, but that one was an SFBC exclusive collection and is probably really hard to come by outside of the club. The one collection that you really need, however, is The Best of H.P. Lovecraft: Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre. After this, you could pick up Del Rey's other two collections. Unfortunately, I don't have them with me and can't recall the titles right now. If you're really fascinated like me, there are plenty of Mythos books written by other authors, but those are a little harder to find.

There's several good collections available in paperback.

My suggestion would be Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/034542204X/ref=sib_rdr_dp/102-5379779-3027342?%5Fencoding=UTF8&no=283155&me=ATVPDKIKX0DER&st=books) since it also contains the work others have contributed to the Mythos. Jerusalem's Lot by Stephen King is particularly good.

Also Robert E Howard, the creator of Conan, wrote several really good short stories that were collected in Nameless Cults (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1568821301/qid=1127706873/br=1-2/ref=br_lf_b_2//102-5379779-3027342?v=glance&s=books&n=7203).

If Horror.com has a business-page with Amazon, go through that, I didn't know so just posted the straight links.
