I wouldn't say it got "GOOD" reviews. 6.7/10. Not bad, its the best reviews for a Evil dead game. But shit ! for 20 bucks, that is worth every penny to play as Ash.

I am going to pick it up tomorrow.

Hail to the king sucked.
Fistful I thought was pretty damn fun, and ALL the issues with the combat system were sorted out. Too short an outing, but I would NEVER go so far as to say it sucked.

The new one looks more like boomstick. No doubt it'll be interesting to see a game that supposedly follows along from the storyline of army of darkness (original ending).

Just bought the game today, here is my review.

The story line is decent. Its basic Evil Dead stuff. Who ever wrote this game, tried so hard to make it sound like every Evil Dead movie. It comes off like a bad rip-out. The dialogue is alright, way to many puns! Puns are the most annoying sense of humor of all time. But still Bruce Campbell has some good one-liners.

Game play is simple but addictive. It feels great playing as Ash, blowing Deadites heads off with your Shotgun arm. The action is what makes this game very impressive. With real cool finishing moves. One problem; When you go for some finishing move. Your gun won't even be pointed at the demons head when it explodes... lame. It hasn't gotten boring ripping deadites up.

The level design is good, makes it seem like a real movie. EXCEPT ! too many blocked doors! This game is very linear. One direction that is clearly marked out. The music is very fitting.

Overall. I am so impressed with Evil Dead: Regeneration . From the moment you pick it up. It looks, feels, plays like Evil Dead. And you can't beat that. And for being a budget title that makes it even more amazing. Game play is were this game excels.

I've only played a hour and a half. But I can't wait to play the rest.

8/10

Im not too far into it yet [Just got it yesterday] but so far it's awesome. A bit hard [Friggin electric deadite!!!], but definatly a cool game. "Sam" is pretty annoying though, I gotta say. Sure, that's the point...but lets just say I punt him alot more than needed;)

(i think)crummy story, short play time,combo-system stinks with the game's more advance weapons.i loved fistful, but regeneratin seamed like a retread and a bad one at that.

...i almost forgot the Sam character,i loath him.you must admit it's not really in line with the evil dead universe and Ash does'nt need a sidekick.

I agree whole-heartedly about Sam. He is meant to be annoying of course....but you're right, Ash really doesnt need a sidekick. While his character sucks, I do think he makes the game a bit more original, with the missions where you possess him and all.

Ive never played Fistful myself, this is my first foray into Evil Dead gaming. I personally find the game kinda dificult in parts, but then again I will never claim to be a very good gamer. Right now Im stuck on the boss in the mine. I agree the story isnt overly solid, but it starts well at the very least.

The further I get in this game, the more I come to see things from your point of view. I still think it's a good game, but it's so insanely repetitive! You do the same exact same mission like 3 times, then you're sent to Reinhard's lair, which I assume is very close to the end. Ill probably beat it today...

I completed it ages ago, I loved it alot more that fistful and liked the Sam character. I do how ever think it's way tooooooo short and I can't wait for a new one and I liked all the jokes in it, I was laughing everytime.

**Spoilers, if anyone cares

Well, I finished it today. VERY disapointed with the ending, you should have got to fight Sally yourself. Reinhardt was tough, but nothing overly impossible. No harder than a mid-game boss in most games. I agree wholeheartedly that it was much too short, however many more "Peepers" missions would have been just a bit annoying.

Overall, it was a pretty good game though. Short, but fun.
