Original Or Remake

I've seen quite a few movies recently that are remakes.

So I was wondering...what remakes did you like better than the original?

As for me, I like the originals better.

and well, I can't think of any other where the remake is better then the original

in a certain way the miniseries of the shining is better then the original, but then again, nothing can top jack nicholson

someone mentioned that Ghost ship is a remake so it gets my vote for being a great remake... I couldnt imagine the wire cutting scene being beat... even though Scarface is not a remake but a lot of things were took from the original.. it is not horror but very fucking close to it...

But back to topic..... I think remakes and originals are to be judged on case by case... some remakes are better, then some originals should just be left along...:)

well it was not really remade.. But when oliver wrote it he took a lot of ideas from the original scarface.. Tony Montana had the attitude like the original scarface..... i myself love them both... and you will definately see the similarities

House on haunted Hill is way better than the original. The original was so fucking dumb. And I'm not saying this because the original was in black in white. I actually liked that it was in black i9n white.
