Robert Englund's Own Pitch for Freddy Vs. Jason 2: If he can get the studio behind him, Robert Englund is pushing the Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael Myers angle.
"I have a pitch, I have an idea but we'd have to go a little retro and I'd have to have a couple of drinks with Jamie Lee Curtis, or at least make her eat some raw fish. But I do have a great idea and it's been pitched around a little bit which would be Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Michael Myers, but I'd need to talk to them. But that's where that stands now."

Yea, that'd be fucking rediculous. Michael Myers is a REAL mass murderer. Jason and Freddy aren't real. Jason is "dead" half the time, and he has no face. Freddy is in the dream world. Michael Myers is a real guy, and since the halloween series is so fucked up right now, adding Jason and Freddy to the series would only screw things up more. What we need is a solid Halloween 9 story line that connect all the movies back together.

Unless an independent group of hardcore horror fans do the production we'll never get it.

I thinks its a horrible idea. I liked FvJ because it was somthing new, but I think one was enough.

No. Just no. If it was made, I'm sure it would be a miserable failure. The styles of those three series are just too different for it to work.

It is a completely ridiculous idea. But personally, I thought Freddy Vs Jason was a ridiculous idea (and seeing the movie didn't exactly change my mind). Let them all die I say, but I guess there wouldn't be much money in that.:D

It'd turn out the same as FvsJ, probably:
-Completly mess up the continuity of the 3 franchises [Yikes...Halloween with more continuity screw ups *shudder*]
-Have no actual winner
-Leave it open for a sequel [FvsJvsMvsPinhead? ...vsAsh? ...vsChucky? ...vsWhatever will piss the most horror fans and make lots of money?]
- Overall, it'd turn out as a fun but stupid horror movie with very few redeeming features.
Meh, if they make it Ill watch it.

Robert Englund must be bankrupt.
Seriously, I mean Freddy is the only thing he can actually make some serious cash off of. Then he does all those B-movie giant snake flicks, I don't blame the guy for tryin' to keep his character alive.

I don't get it, Englund usually seems like a really smart guy...
If he's so damn anxious to put the glove back on, why not push for a new Nightmare movie? Screw Jason and Michael. Make Freddy dark and scary again...
I did kinda like the Elm Street prequel idea, but I still think a Freddy-only Nightmare movie is the way to go. There hasn't been a sequel in over a decade, both Jason and Michael have had a couple chances since then and bombed...

Right you are....it's called Nightmare on Elm Street:Real Nightmares, almost sounds like a Fear Factor rip off.

I checked it out, its a 6 episode series where Englund goes to peoples' homes and they talk about their "deepest darkest nightmares". Eh.
Good part though. The dreams are "visualized" by Peter Kuran, who did the FX for Robocop, Star Wars and X-Men 2.

That actually sounds pretty cool. Dreams have always interested me in a way.

After reading about the new Nightmares show on this board, I checked imdb...
Apparently, even though it had "Nightmare on Elm Street" in the title, Robert Englund was the host of the show and NOT playing Freddy or wearing the make-up. Helping people deal with their phobias and any messed-up dreams they had. Anyway, doesn't look like it will ever make it to air...
On the message board there's a posting by someone who was on the show, he says CBS has lost interest and shelved it. He had an online petition started to get the show to air (good luck, buddy). Didn't copy the link, but it's at imdb... see for yourself...

I knew he wouldn't be in Freddy character when I found out it was a reality show but I was still going to at least watch one episode.....oh well.

i really think it should just be freddy and jason again. i mean jason won the battle in the first one but he obviously didnt win the war. and u cant bring other people in a war that has already started. it just doesnt make any sence. i like mike myers but it wouldnt work i dont want jamie lee curtis in it cause i just dont like her anymore shes to old for the part. if they do bring in mike myers they need to bring in another girl or how about this her son! she had a son that u havent seen since the 7th one i would like to see josh hartent in this one either in f.v.j.v.m or the new holoween movie or both. i would say make a holoween movie that can tie into interducin him into f.v.j then through him in there n make a second one. but i really dont want to wait that lobg for it to come out. just a thought

it might be ok i would see it anyway since i am a huge jason fan. but i prob wouldnt like it as much as the first one. i think the should bring in hellraiser or the wishmaker. that would kickass

Therein lies the problem - pay to see these "versus" and remake things (yes, even out of curiousity...), they make money and make more of them.
The fate of modern horror cinema is in your hands!

In actuality, everyone knows they will see this sequel if it were F v. J or F v. J v. M. It is the sheer fact that three of the most villaness creatures ever created in the horror genre are all gonna be on the silver screen together. Either way, I will gladly see it and then critique it after it is all said and done. Who knows...It may be of oscar calibur (LOL---LOL)...Anyways, judge not unless you write a opinonated movie column.
