Robert Bloch (who wrote "Psycho") and Harlan Ellison's work scared me more than anyone when I was a kid--his short story "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" was the best one I ever read. Bloch died about 10 years ago, but does anyone know what's happened to Ellison lately? I haven't seen new work from him in years.

Ellison's still alive and kicking. I haven't seen any new work from him in ages though, so I can't help there. Good call on "I Have No Mouth...." Definitely a classic.
Fact: the name "Harlan Ellison" is now a registered trademark. It's true.

There's some new Ellison at www.aardwolfpublishing.com
and www.shocklines.com -- he wrote the afterword to god's 15 minutes

I only hope that I'm half as cool as Ellison when I'm his age. Thanks for the link, Billy.

Ellison's an SF/ horror god. I'd love to see "The Whimper of Whipped Dogs" as a vignette in aTales from the Darkside-style anthology film. I'd love to see something like that with Ellison/Leiber/Bloch stories.

Ellison frequently appears in the column "Past Masters" at www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com -- he also wrote a very funny afterword to god's 15 minutes which you can get at shocklines and other places...
