Ok im not going to get into anything before the age of 16 because there was a bunch of flics that freaked me out. I must be honest I am 32 years old and just recently watched The Grudge at about one in the morning on my big screen with all the lights out with my wife and kids all in bed sleeping....and YES I GOT CREEPED OUT!

Ah, this is going to be embarrassing... The one movie that did it for me was the old 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I was about five or six at the time, and the giant squid thing scared the living crap out of me. Even to this day, I'm afraid of being eaten by a squid.

I jumped to hide behind the couch while watching the last parts of Exorcist. Was only 11 then. It doesn't scare me anymore.

What (still) scares me...
Superstition
Phenomena (the boy)
Prince of Darkness (when the sleeper opens her eyes)
The Grudge (definitely)
Dark Water (japanese version)

I admit that there was one or two scenes in The Grudge that made me jump out of my skin. But it is nothing like the absolute dread I felt the first time I saw The Exorcist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or A Nightmare On Elm Street. Those were the three that scarred me for life...LOL...;) To this day, TCM and The Exorcist both unsettle me to an absurd degree.

Black Christmas scared the shit out of me. I saw it when I was 13. My parents finally let me stay home by myself by then. So one night when they were gone I watched it alone with all the lights off. When it was over I was terrified and way too scared to go upstairs to bed.
