Anchor Bay Entertainment has just been sold for 60 MILLION dollars and there is no word on who bought it. This makes me very nervous.

As a result we will only be getting the 2-disc Dawn of the Dead DVD and it will released around the first of March. There is no info about the future releases of the company.

Like I said, I'm very nervous.

Anchor Bay is awesome. I hope this new owner lives up to the previous owner. Anchor Bay is a great company, in my opinion.

Also, I picked this nugget up to.

"Dawn of the Dead is indeed arriving March 9th but in a single-disc package under Anchor Bay's Divimax banner (similar to the aforementioned Day of the Dead and this year's Halloween: 25th Anniversary Edition). This disc will feature a 16 X 9 theatrical cut transfer and a few Extras that are still being finalized.

Later in '04, Anchor Bay will release a multi-disc Special Edition of Dawn some time before Halloween/late summer. The number of discs contained within is a detail still being worked out by the disc's producers. Our AB rep assures us that this package will contain multiple cuts of the film and numerous commentaries. Also expect brand spankin' new interviews with cast and crew, amongst them: George Romero, Dario Argento, David Emge, Ken Foree, Scott Reiniger, and Gaylen Ross."

I'm not as disappointed as I was, but I'd still like to know the future of the company.

Be afraid...Be VERY AFRAID...I sure hope this doesn't turn out the way it USUALLY does...People should NEVER mess with a good thing...They usually end up messing it up...

ON SECOND THOUGHT ...I sure do wish someone else would take over FULL MOON, someone who could take it back to where it used to be...Subspecies, Demonic Toys, Puppet Master, Netherworld...Those were the days (or should I say nights?)...
