:( I always thought Taylor was a child.........but I guess he or she was in their own way.......I'm sorry, but I don't know......dog or cat? I have been through this and it broke my heart. Take care.

nine9 - he's a cat. I never had any kids so he's my baby, hence my screen name. I'm better than I was the other day, but it still hurts like hell. I am taking comfort from the fact that I tried everything possible to save him.

Is your shirt drip dry? Actually, the tears come and go. I had my good hard cry on Sunday when it looked like it was going to be done then.

My baby I lost was a cat too. A blue point Himalayan. I had him for 11 years. I have 3 cats now..........it is horrible to go throught that, I feel for you. It is just as bad as losing a human family member. :(

The thing that really fucking sucks is this is the second cat in less than six months that we've had to have put to sleep.

I'm so sorry, you have my sympathies. It is painful to lose a pet, I just had to have a dog put to sleep that I had had since I was a child about 7 months ago. Very sad.:(

So sorry to hear this tragic news TM. A couple of years ago I had to put my Siberian Husky to sleep after having him 15 years so I know what you're feeling. We're all here for you :(

Sucky, I'm still weird about my cat that was killed 3 years ago.....Very sorry to hear that, TM.

I never really know what to say during times like these, because we all know that we can't really make it better (although, we all wish we could)...The passage of time is all that really seems to help...Try to take care of yourself, and try to keep your chin up...

i lost a cat that was extremely close to me about 10 years ago and i never got over it ...

life goes on but i still miss that cat - it was in my life longer than any other relationship..

Thanks for the photo. Taylor is sure a cute creature and certainly a great friend.

I like people too but I am always concerned about the little animals, be they rat, mole, vole, squirrel, cat or dog.

I have prayed to the Lady Bastet for you. She will be the light for him, guiding him to Paradise. I also asked Her to comfort you.

When you're ready... Go to the animal shelter, and adopt a baby to love. I'm sure that Taylor will watch over him or her, like a guardian angel.

lol she's got some damn sharp claws, and done some minor furniture damage, but she's forgiven all too easily.

Just got back. It was very peaceful. I held him in my arms, kissed him on the head, told him I love him, and told him he can go play with Sammy now. It was very quick and not traumatic at all. Strangely, I feel very peaceful right now. Haunted, I think your prayer worked.

Thanks, kpro. I appreciate it. Like I said, I feel very peaceful right now. Yes, I cried like a baby while it was happening, but afterward we laid him on an exam table and I stood there petting him and telling the vet stories about him. He loved vegetables - his favorite was asparagus. He also loved watermelon. I will miss him, but he's not in pain anymore.

That cat also looks like it might turn into a bunch of tentacles like in THE THING. You know, someone'll go over to it and poke it with a stick, wondering why it is sitting there so stiff-like and thinking that it might be a dummy of some kind, and as soon as they turn their back, the cat will turn into a bunch of pink tentacles made out of painted rubber tubing.

Glad to hear that you are feeling better, TM.

I went and picked Tweety the cat up around 4:45, got him released, and very carefully drove him back home to his alley/parking lot. He was half-sedated and seemed sleepy the whole way back, but as soon as he saw he was home, he started yowling "Wau? Mwau?" in his carrying case. His energy was definitely coming back! So I let him go, and he ran off into the shrubs and things.
