How come nobody knows how to act at the bars anymore? Everyone is just a complete dousche...

We went out for my friend's b-day and got the 21 pitchers for 25 bucks. There's only 9 of us so we figure, "No problem, quick beer and good times."

NO.

These four guys come over who work with my friends' roommate, so they're talkin' to her and telling her happy birthday and blah blah blah (One said the "you have beautiful eyes" shit) and totally ruining our group. So THEN they just pull up chairs to the table and start drinking the beer!

Now normally I'd be "slightly" okay with this, but these guys didn't even introduce themselves to the rest of us. They just talked to her briefly and then started taking beers. PLUS, they were those guys who think they can drink forever, so they drank the majority of the beer in about an hour and a half. AN HOUR AND A HALF.

I was pissed. Thoughts? Similar situations?:D

I don't think I've ever had that happen to me. Then again, guys usually want to keep buying women drinks...not take the drinks away from them;)

Well one of my roommates told the guys that they should fork over money, and the one goes, "Oh, its okay. We know Carly."

Like, WHAT? I don't give two shits and a squirt if you know her or not, that's bullshit. One of em' tried to dance with her too, but she just kinda laughed. So HOPEfully she realized as well they were just a bunch of turds.

Total shocked surprise. Some people are unbelievably rude and offensive and jerkish.

It might have been interesting to stop them at some point, you know, just hold up the arm blocking them and say, "Hey, guys, that's enough, see that corner over there, go occupy it, thank you" but say it really friendly like.

maybe you should have been more forward, and introduced 'yourself'.

when I was at Uni, living with 4 other guys, we had a notorious rep with most of the other students on our course, that we were the heavy beer drinkers, and had parties all the time.... drank quite a lot of beer yes, partys all the time ...no.

We did, however have quite a few bbq's in the good weather, and invited many people, since we had lots of food and beer, and asked people to bring some beer etc. Quite often I'd see people arrive who I didn't recognise, either they were frindes of friends, people from down the pub/bar or other students who heard by word of mouth. I wasn't too bothered, me a my house mates just kept eyes on them, for trouble.

But being slack with unknown people who turned up, had problems. Some time's they'd not bring any drink, eat the food, drink a lot of beer and get roudy, and we'd end up throwing them out, which wasn't a problem either. Other times I'd go over and introduce myself to these unknow people and give a sarctisc but humorous remark, like "who are you, aint seen you around, must have been the smell of beer and bbq, that brought the freeloaders here" or " I know the name of all my beer bottles, but I don't know the names of you people drinking it all" usally broke the ice, and they'd be more friendly and I'd be more accomodating.

...then of course the females, we didn't know, were most welcome to stay ;)

This picture is different:

It's better lit, the pose is better. It's more effective. It looks more like a cosmetics ad. It looks more professional. More attractive. Whatever you're doing, do more of it. You're obviously trying to present a good look, so: Good work!

In regards to that photo, anyway, I do happen to be a good judge of photos (if I do say so myself), and when I see one that stands out, it is a natural inclination to mention it and critique it. Most people's photo avs are great, but they look like casual candid snaps. That one is just a touch better.

Now normally I'd be "slightly" okay with this, but these guys didn't even introduce themselves to the rest of us. They just talked to her briefly and then started taking beers. PLUS, they were those guys who think they can drink forever, so they drank the majority of the beer in about an hour and a half. AN HOUR AND A HALF.

I was pissed. Thoughts? Similar situations?:D

This is exactly the reason that I don't go to clubs/bars as often as I used to. Although *I* wasn't the one fighting, there was always somebody who inevitably had to start one...kinda ruins the mood. It's sad really...I wish that people could just go out and have a good time w/o feeling the need to cause problems.

I have never really been into the bar/club scene myself. I go occasionally with friends of mine, but you are right, there is always trouble. Of course, all that alcohol can be a very dangerous thing for some people. And most of those people are blissfully unaware of how it effects them. Or just don't care.

I feel the same way as you do. I could care less about going, to be honest. Most of the times I went, I was in college and I just went to hang out with all of my friends. That scene in general really isn't my thing...usually just a bunch of creepy people looking to get laid ;) Also not my thing...hmm...that doesn't sound right...I mean, one night stands aren't my thing...:p

So yeah, I guess I'm not missing out on much. However, it really does ruin the night when you just want to relax and have some laughs with friends, and some idiot causes problems.

That IS scary...it's a shame we have to be so paranoid wherever we go...you just never know what anyone's up to...sounds cliche, but really...your life can change in the blink of an eye.

I've found the only way to really go out to a bar and have a decent time is to go with my guy friends...at least then, nobody bothers me. If I go out with a group of girls...forget it...I feel like I'm in a tank with a bunch of piranha's surrounding me ;):p

LMFAO!! Pretty much. I usually make sure it is a mixed crowd if I go. I have this one friend who is 6'6'' and 300 pounds....no one messes with me when he is around unless they are scary drunk or scary stupid. So I usually try to convince him to go with me wherever I go.:D

Haha, she handled it that exact way. I talked to her when I got up this morning and she said she didn't even want them there, but she was so drunk she just liked guys hitting on her.
