View Full Version : So I overheard.....;)

I was walking into the mall last night, and I happen to over-hear something which I found pretty amusing...so much so that I laughed right in front of the person who said it...and I usually have very good manners ;)
ALRIGHT. So, like I said...I was walking into the mall last night, and a group of teenagers were sitting outside...now, I mean no offense by the following description...it's purely to paint the picture for everyone.
All three teens are dressed in black, kind of "goth" looking, piercings, etc...so one of the girls starts talking and says...
"You know...if I see something I want, I'll just buy it...I don't care what it is...if I want it, I'll just buy it...you know, because I'm an AGNOSTIC ANARCHIST" OMG!!!! ;)
I almost DIED. I seriously burst out laughing as I walked by. It didn't make sense to me at all! It just sounded like she was throwing out a couple of "big words" to impress her friends and sound "cool"...her friends seemed to be buying it too. Ah, to be a teenager again...;)
I just got such a kick out of it...so I thought I'd share since there aren't many new threads. It really was the funniest thing I've ever overheard, I do believe.
Feel free to comment, or share anything you may remember overhearing once that you found amusing:p

Okay, I have a friend here that has a story I have to share.
A couple of years ago she was driving from Alabama to Georgia with her sister. Keep in mind her sister was twenty at the time. Her sister says " You know what I thought, I thought all the states were seperated by fences."
And this woman has reproduced....twice....

Well, considering I've driven all up and down the east coast...I know there are no fences...there are goblins guarding gates to each state, and you have to know the secret password to get in;):p

Meadow,
after laughing out loud at them, you should have asked them to define the word agnostic and anarchist.
It really drives me crazy when people try to be something in such a way that they have to run around and define themselves to everyone.
A guy I work with tries so hard to be a stereotypical redneck, like that is a good label. Just because you drive a pick up truck, laugh at Jeff Foxworthy and listen to Tim McGraw does not make one a redneck.
My boss had made a comment about how he didnt want to hire a guy because he seemed like a redneck. Myself and this other guy were standing there and he says, "Hey you got 2 rednecks standing right here." Now him and I are the only ones standing there so I guess he was refering to me.
Frankly I was always called Hillbilly but I prefer Mountain William.:D

LOL! I know, I probably should have...she was obviously just trying to categorize herself as something, even though she had no idea what the words actually meant.
I'm sure if I HAD said anything, I would've just gotten a "F*** YOU, mind your own business" or something of that nature;)
So, perhaps in this case things were better left unsaid. I mean, if somebody really wants to walk around making a fool of themselves like that....so be it I suppose ;) But yeah...it might've been nice to have seen the expression on her face if I had actually called her out and put her on the spot :p :D

What in the cornbread hell is an agnostic anarchist? Okay, you believe in the existance of a higher power, but are unable to know it in any tangible way, while believing that there should essentially be no rules.
Where's the connection between those two?
People who use words they don't know irritate me. I've actually been mistaken a couple of times, but I've never done it deliberately.

She could have made it really simple too. She's could've stood up and said, "I'm a big ego-inflated teenage dumbass!"
We need to send Seri to Boston to teach that bitch a thing or two about being cool. In fact, Seri should just start doing seminars on coolness in youth.

When I was taking accounting class in Charleston, WV, our teacher told this story about how she was explaining where she works and the person asked her: "How far is that from Roanoke", and she sarcastically remarked "About 300 miles." Apparently this person is so stupid they don't know West Virginia is a state. Either that or they think we all here are just stupid rednecks.

I had taken my girls to the movies and this overly sized chick..caught my eye..her and her group of freinds..
It must have been the way she was dressed that held my attention..
she had on these jeans that couldn't or wouldnt zip ..neither would the top button meet..and for god sakes...she tried to make a fashion statement out of it by wearing spongebob boxers..but the funniest part was the bits of visible rope that she had used to keep her jeans up around her waist...i swear i heard it calling for help..'not to mention her top consisted of nothing more than a sports bra..her belly was also covered in stretchmarks.
I couldn't help but laugh out really loud when this person walks in front of me to read one of the movie posters.
DAIRY OF A GEYSER..!!! diary of a geisha is what it really said and all her mates nodded in agreement...with ooh kewl..lets go n see that..!!!
I was totally pissin myself ..i had to run outside.

Jesus-pleezus! I hate it when fat people do that!!! I mean, I'm a big girl, but I dress accordingly. I wear clothes that suit my figure, i.e. accentuate, my boobs, hips, and nice length of my legs, while hiding my butt and tummy. I want to look nice, not like a blob. For instance, I every day, I used to walk to French class behind this girl who was very big, however, she was always dressed wonderfully. Every article of clothing fit her perfectly and was not demeaning to her figure. She looked great and had a great glow of confidence about her. Even the most shallow of men would have looked twice at this girl. She really really epitomized that ever insulting (to me anyway) initialed BBW. She was gorgeous.
She probably could read too. Diary of a Geyser... How do you get Geyser out of Geisha? There isn't an "r" in Geisha nor a "y." People who can't read suck as well.
