Skynyrd
Black Sabbath
Zepplin

When I was 20 years younger I had an umbilical cord....

I listen to about 60% of STE's list but I don't really have any music knowledge I just know what I like and what I don't like, as far as the impact a paticular band made or what style they are ect. ect. I have no clue about that kinda stuff.

actually I just looked at it again and it's more like 45%

Let's see, 20 years ago I listened to...

All of the shitty 80's song that played on the radio....and where I lived, they didn't play any of the good shit...

Twenty years ago I was listening too Cold Chisel, AC/DC, Simple Minds, INXS (they were my first favorite band..... fucks me what there into these days *cringes*), U2 and heaps and heaps of Bowie and Pink Floyd. I would basically listen to what my brother and sister had lying around at the time. I remember liking a couple of The Pyscedelic Furs albums especially the white one that came out around '86 (fucks me waht it was called) and the band Dead or Alive's album Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know.
But yeh thats what I was into when I was 5 or 6.... strange shit and pretty far away from what I'm into know days.

@ UrgeOK: Never picked you for the Black Flag fan? Do you get into the Circle Jerks? Its the original singer out of BF's band. It kicks Black Flags ass in my opinion especially their album Group Sex. Speaking of New Wave did you ever get into Pere Ubu? I really like their albums The Modern Dance and Dub Housing. Amazing stuff! Didn't really dig much of their other stuff tho.

yeah i know of the circle jerks and may have a tune or two - but no albums ...

pere ubu .. yeah they are a great band ... never made a dime.
i remember them being on letterman and they paid their own way to get there ... unheard of .. (the show normally foots the bill)

i always thought of them as a 'new wave' Sugar
