"Tell it to call you 'Billy,' you bitch!" LOL
"The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verill" is really cool too . . . .

"Ol Chief Wooden Head " was the best story of all 8 but they are all fantastic, imo.
The animated wraparound story with the venus fly trap was also cool.

I watchedCreepshow and Dawn of the dead in one night when i was like 7. The crate and the first head explosion in Dawn turned me off of horror till I was 16

i saw the creepshow comic years before i ever saw the movie, my cousin had it as he was a heavy horror fan. The Crate gave me nightmares until i was 14.
The hitchiker made me paranoid looking in a rear-view mirror in a parked car pretty much still.

I'll say Father's Day, guess I'm the only one.

Best one ..definatively from Creepshow. "the Crate'.. 2nd ,from Creepshow 2."the Raft".and i guess. The one with Leslie Nielson in it"Something to tide you over". would be 3rd best..kinda like the one at the end of Creepshow.. with the roaches in the penthouse too..after watching that.I'm still a bit leery when eating cereal..especially Raisin Bran..lol:p
Without a doubt...The Crate owns all.

The Crate is my favourite of #1 and The Raft in #2 but the cockroach and seaweed like monsters in 1 were very good and when the hand came out of the grave in 'fathers day" and the woman fell in.
Top stuff.

The Creepshow movies are two of my favorite horror movies ever. I especially like it when someone is about to die and they cut to the frames of them screaming with red or green lights on behind them. That is just stupendous (sp?).
I like Creepshow better than Creepshow 2, and out of Creepshow I like the Crate the best. Her death scene (as described above) is just soooo good.
My fave scene out of either of them is when the old lady (Aunt somethingorother) in "Father's Day" spills some whiskey on the dad's grave, which miraculously brings him back from the dead. As a heavy drinker and whiskey man myself, I found that to be particularly gratifying, and when someone brings up how drinking straight whiskey is bad, I just bring out this scene as "Exhibit A" in my case of "Extoling the Virtues of Drinking Hard Liquor." My second fave scene is when the younger guy shows up, sees the bottle on the ground, looks through the top opening (classic!) and then shrugs (in a good old fashioned, "what the hell" way) and drinks it. He gets iced shortly thereafter.
So yeah, Creepshow is great.

Though decision to take. The Raft and The Crate were two damn good shorties.
But for the originality of it, I guess I'll stick with The Raft as my first choice, follow just a few inches behind by The Crate.

I agree on the hitchhiker. The Crate scared the piss outta me when i was younger.
Soemthing to tidde you over made me want to hit lesly nielson with a shovel... However, i was gladd to see ted danson dead...
Tough choice.
I think I'll go with "The Crate" from the first.

I actually thought "The Raft" from the second was the best. Although, "The Hitchhiker" is better than any story in the first film.

The raft is not bad, all the way until the end, when it is obvious that the guy was just eaten by a garbage bag on an aluminum frame....

my vote would go to "the hitchhiker" because i just can't get over the quote from the man the lady hit.
"Thanks for the ride lady" as he's hanging from the sun roof of her car.
Its just classic.

Havnt seen #2 yet [Even though Ive owned it for a couple months...], but my favourites in the first one go like this, from best to worst:
#1- Something To Tide You Over
#2- Father's Day
#3, 4 TIE- The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill
#3, 4 TIE- They're Creeping Up On You
#5- The Crate
I love them all, just some more than others.

They're Creeping Up On You and Father's Day. Everyone love's Father's Day. The best part is when he snaps that guys head backwards.

The Crate. God, is that ever a creepy sequence. The sense of tension and anticipation before the thing in the crate is revealed is very intense, and the payoff does not disappoint. Father's Day would be my second favorite.

Plenty of fodder there baby.

^^ They were making a third movie in the series but I haven't really heard anything more than rumours. Perhaps its been done already.
I like Leslie Nielsen as the villian in the original..... its weird seeing him do serious roles. He was great in Prom Night aswell.

Edited list, now hat Ive seen #2
#1- Something To Tide You Over
#2- Father's Day
#3, 4 TIE- The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill
#3, 4 TIE- They're Creeping Up On You
#5- The Raft
#6- The Crate
#7- The Hitchhiker
#8- Ol' Chief Wood'nhead
I though they all were great, but Ol' Chief Wood'nhead gets the bottom spot cause for the first like 10-15 min it was boring as hell. Got good later on though...

It's so hard to rate them, I like them all, but here goes.
1. Father's Day
2. The Raft
3. The Crate
4. Moss man Jody Veril. I forget the title.
That Father's Day one scared the living shiz out of me when I was a kid. I'm serious, it spooked me right out for a long time.
The Raft was cool. I like the part where he's copping a feel on the raft and she wakes up with that stuff all over her face. Nice boobies.
I always like to see Stephen King playing a role in a movie, that story was pretty cool. Meteorite shiznik.

The Crate creature is just so cool, one of few things I would actually purchase as an action figure. Especially if it came in a little crate. That would rock. But, Leslie Nielsen burying Ted Danson is very gratifying. The only thing with Leslie Nielsen I dig more is Forbidden Planet. In my head I see that story and compare a scantily clad Ann Francis with the 22 minutes of my life I wasted on an episode of Becker. And then I get retribution for the Naked Gun 33 and a third. Nowhere outside of Dante's evil pope circle and the Twilight Zone do you get hot, crispy justice like that. Something to Tide you Over therefore wins in my book.
