I was thinkin of putting on a mini Grindhouse Film Festival in my home town. (much like the ones that go one once a month down in beverly) Anyways I wanted to bring the 42nd Street feel to my home town. (minus the gross parts though ;) ) Anyways Its gonna be a double bill and I was Just woundering what the first two movies of hopefully this monthly gig will be. I was thinking I Spit on Your Grave and Make Them Die Slowly A.K.A Cannibal Ferox. Any other suggestion about the movies or how this whole shindig should go down?

I like your idea and I think it'd be pretty cool, but I do have a piece of advice for you...

I think you should maybe start with something slightly more mainstream and slightly less disturbing than those two movies. (Maybe do like an Evil Dead 2 + Army of Darkness or DawnOTD + DayOTD or something.) I just think it would help you draw better attendance in the first couple weeks you do it this way. Besides, if you start with Cannibal Ferox, you're kinda leaving yourself no where to go, ya know what I mean?

Anyways, just a thought.

Or by calling Grindhouse (Sorry, I've never heard that term before.) does that insinuate that the films will be exploitation films?

I really dont want to show Evil Dead, why show a movie that everyone can watch at home? Im mostly showing the 70's/80's shockers just like how Grindhouse theaters showed back in there hay day. And I got alot of these movies.
