it was cool... but its hard to shake the fact that it IS reality tv, so they hafto cause drama. but for the most part, it was real cool :). seem like a fun, bunch of dudes.

most of the Show in that forum are not horror related. there are not enough horror related shows for a forum so this still belongs there....Any way iI have yet to watch the show but I plan to soon

I was at a tattoo parlor tuday gettin one put on my shoulder, and the artists there couldn't stop making fun of that show.
Apparently its a very BAD depiction of tattoo artists.

The guy who did my tattoo said that the people on the show don't have any tattoos on their faces or hands, and the one guy who DID get one on the back of his head got yelled at. MY tattoo artist had spikes coming out of his face and a tattoo across his forehead.
The artists at the shop were very displeased.

I think the situation was, the main guy Ami... has a tat on his neck. He says he regretted it or some Junk. The apprentice, Yoshi (sp?), wanted to get one on the back of his skull. Ami didn't want him to do it, saying 'i dont want anyone coming in here seeing any freaks with tats on their head.' a couple of the other artists got annoyed with him, saying 'he's a grown man' and Ami was saying 'well I can fire him.' I kinda see where hes comin from but i kinda dont, and again... its the whole reality TV aspect of it most likely
He didn't say anything though about health issues... I dunno abou florida, but certain states restrict any sort of face tattoo to a licensed doctor (health precautions)

I would think the quality of the artist's art would be more important than the quality of his apperance.

yeh.. i mean hes a grown man, let him do as he wanted. It's a fuckin tat shop, so what, hes gona draw the line? 'necks, chests, backs, arms, legs, feet.... those are all ok. but dont u DARE get anything on your skull.'
but yeh. it seemed a bit forced, kinda like the last several seasons of OSBOURNES, as well as that West Coast Choppers show
that tat's looked good tho, and they seemed cool. one chick came in with a tat near her butt that she wanted covered. they tooka couple days to try and come up withs omething to cover it up, and the guy siad something liek 'I'd rather turn someone down than to mess up.' so they ended up turning her away, but told her that if she got it lightened first, they could work with it
I point that out, simply cuz im sure there would be TONS Of artists that wouldnt give a shit. thats several hundred bucks that they turned down. My friend got a crackhead tattoo on the small of her back... $40 butterfly and the lines overcrossed, didnt meet, lol...
But yeh.. their tats looked pretty cool to me....

Terribly scripted, forced, and uncomfortable dialogue all over the place. Just like all of those other TLC shows. Soon there will be a INK WEEKEND marathon.
But, Yeah, I'll probably stop and watch it if I'm flicking through the channels.

^_^. i like that ami creature for some reason
the best part though, was when the one guy wanted 'persiempre' tatted on his arm... and he had spelt it 'presiempre'. NOT ami, but the guy who wanted it spelt it wrong. but he fixed it
anyway, im gonna most likely continue to watch it (if i remember) on the chance that i'll see some more mishaps. HEHEHE

I like that new show Brat Camp, where the punk-ass kids have to spend time in the desert with counselors.
The best part is when the kids swear, they have to put a rock in their pocket, so over time the weight of the rocks will represent the weight of their burden...
Yeah, its THAT good of a show.
