Ok, I know alot of you here download movies. What program(s) do you use, how do I get them, and are they free?

I have the worst luck downloading movies, Ive tried a ton of different torrents, Kazaa, Bearshare, and something about a donkey. Nothing works for me:(

go pick up a copy of agent99 newsreader, find out what the address of your IP's news service is, then give me a shout.

(you may have to call your IP for that)

It has become increasingly taboo to download anything. You may not find many programs that people are willing to share, and if they share them, that program won't be around for long.

Fucking capitalist entertainment fascists!!

:D

Humour me, I suck with computers.

Is this what I should download? http://www.webmasterfree.com/software/TCPIPNetworking-Tools/NewsreadersUsenet/forte_free_agent.html

"find out what the address of your IP's news service is, then give me a shout."

Once again...humour me. What the heck does that mean?

Usenet or irc

you can get unlimited bandwith at www.newshosting.com for 15 bucks a month. and depending on your internet connection you can get movies pretty fast. I dl at about 600 kb/s. And then use www.newzbin.com to find posts. They catalog every post made in usenet. And for like 5 bucks u get 8 weeks worth of credit to use the sites main feature. NZB files. which you get from their site and it selects all the files needed to download. Use a freeware program called NZBOmatic, to handle the .nzb files. Once you hace everything you need. A host, NZBomatic and Premium credit at Newzbin.com. Just fill out the hosting info in the nzbomatic settings, then search on newzbin for a movie. click on the post you want, then click Get message ID's. That will dl the nzb file, then open it with nbomatic. Thats what I do, I dl about 200-500 gigs a month.

EDIT: that looks like a bunch of jibberish if you have no idea what I am talking about. lol, here are some tutorials to newsgroups etc.

If you have a dvd burner, why dont you just burn movies to DVD+R? Instead of downloading through the internet that takes forever. You just download the freeware (2 programs) and rent a movie at blockbuster or netflix and then burn them.... I only pay 12 cents for each DVD+R. Dont pay for any program that says you can copy DVDs because you only need 2 FREEWARE programs and blanks DVDs.

I guess you all think its fine to download movies from internet. How about burning rental DVDs? Whats your opinion about taking movies from the internet and/or burning them from a rental DVD? Now, we see in the beginning of DVD movies that commercial about internet movie piracy. It goes something like "You wouldnt steal from a store... blah blah... Dont steal movies from the internet".
