In an interview with Bruce Campbell ("Evil Dead" films, "Spider-Man" films, upcoming Sky High) at Kotaku, the actor says he'll be playing himself in an upcoming movie:

And then in the Fall I'm going to start a new film for Dark Horse comics, a cool company set in Portland, they're making movies now. It's an untitled Bruce Campbell movie where I play myself. It's about a small town that is having problems with a monster and nothing's working so somebody suggests let's get the Evil Dead guy. Unfortunately, in reality I don't own a gun, I've never used a chainsaw and more die then before I got there.

That's a pretty clever idea, I like the twist on reality with fiction... That Mr. Campbell is something special...

it didnt work too well for Arnold (last action hero)
but it worked ok for john malcovich and will shatner (high enterprise)

For some reason...This reminds me a little of Wes Craven's New Nightmare...

so did i ... but the critics decided to tear arnold down with it - calling it an ego vehicle.

I love this idea. But of course, Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors. Like with Jeffery Combs, I will watch anything he is in even if it is complete crap.:D

I saw that movie on Sci Fi, big bummer...

The one guy gets bit by a zombie but doesn't turn into one. What the hell is that all about. I got so mad I ate a slice of pizza... all fast and such.

Yep, like that one....*sighs*...it didn't drive me to eat pizza irresponsibly or anything ;).....but it really was pretty bad.

I haven't suffered through Hammerhead:Shark Frenzy yet but I am sure I will see it eventually....lol.

I saw the ending of Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy, the male heroic character looked like a pizza delivery man...

By the way, Ive recently had the misfourtune of seeing All Souls Day...Ouch! That needed ALOT more than Combs to make it worth watching....however Contagion still stands as the worst movie Ive ever seen.
