Fuel Injection Turns Water Guns Into Flame-Throwers
Canada - Two brothers in Hamilton, Ontario, were in police custody Monday after allegedly taking to the streets with a couple of homemade flame-throwers.
Police say the men stole two pump-action water guns from the backyard of a home in the city early Sunday.
The men filled the water guns with gasoline, put flames to the nozzles and pulled the triggers.
Police say they used the makeshift weapons to torch three minivans, causing minor damage.

I just have a thought. If water guns are made of plastic, and plastic melts fairly easily, then how could a water gun filled with gasoline, be used to make flame throwers? Remember even the fumes from gasoline are igniteable. Wouldn't the guns melt almost immediately or worse explode?

Maybe really hard plastic lasts for a little while...I keep gasoline for the lawnmower in a hard plastic gas can...It would probably take a little while for one of those to actually catch on fire...
These guys apparently didn't get very far, or cause much damage before they were caught...

Yeah I guess if it was hard plastic, it could take a while for the gasoline to burn through. I just wonder what gave them the idea?

gasoline dosnt burn ... the fumes burn ..
as long as the fuel is being squirted away the fumes are ahead of the plastic..
i wouldnt want to be holding the squirtgun at any rate though ...

If I was going to torch three minivans, I'd just use one can of gasoline and three matches... Anyway, I'm unimpressed.
