Why Do Driver's License Pictures Always Suck?

We just got back from the courthouse...

How many of you guys would be willing to post a picture of your driver's license (with personal information obscurred, of course)?

I just thought about all of the people who have never posted a picture of themselves here, because they say that they don't HAVE a picture...BUT, we all have driver's licenses...Well, except for the ones that are too young, but we've seen their pictures...So...Who's willing?

Oh...The scanner did that...I think it's the holographic crap and the sheen on the license that caused it...I cant make it any clearer....Of course, it doesn't help that I'm computer illiterate...But, my daughter couldn't make it any better either...So.....

It's probably a safety precaution so it's harder to make fake liecences

This is it! I am gonna become a DMV photographer and make sure everyone looks sane in their photo's....I have to live with this thing for 6 more years, my other one wasn't THAT bad, but they just hadda take a new one:rolleyes:

They make the pictures so bad so you look as evil as possible when they use your photo on the news for something dodgey ;) Most licence photos look like mugshots.
