Romanian Government Calls In Ghost Busters

Romanian authorities have called in an exorcist after a ceiling collapsed on the head of the country's agriculture minister.

Father Cristian Deheleanu was called after a spate of bizarre accidents convinced civil servants their headquarters were haunted.

Officials blamed a ghost for burst water pipes, slamming doors and mysterious phone calls as well as the ceiling that fell on the minister.

The spooked workers decided to call for divine assistance.

Father Deheleanu used holy water, a crucifix and said a set of prayers to exorcise the spirits.

Chelmu said: "After a wall fell on top of ministry advisor Teodor Craciun, I decided enough was enough.

"We tried to work out why we were so unlucky, and realised no priest had stepped foot in this ministry for years - and the last government had not had a particularly close relationship with God."
