Man Woke To Bullet In Tongue

Florida- When his head hurt so badly Monday morning that a Jacksonville man walked to the hospital, doctors said he had a good reason to be there.

Wendell Howard Coleman, 47, had a bullet in his tongue.

Coleman told police he had gotten into a dispute with a woman in a West Union Street parking lot about 2:30 that morning and she stuck a pistol barrel in his mouth. He said he heard the gun go off.

Then he went home to sleep, according to a police report. When he woke up, Coleman's head hurt so he walked more than a dozen blocks to Shands Jacksonville.

According to a police report, Coleman's lip was swollen and he appeared to have powder burns. He had difficulty speaking, the report said.

It didn't say what was done with the bullet.

I'm just wondering why the fool didn't go to the hospital when he knew he had been shot?? I mean, it says he heard the gun go off. Why go home and go to bed. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, thats for sure. Hell, is he even in the drawer???
