Aw, gosh, I like STAR WARS (the 1977 original), and THE FIFTH ELEMENT (pretty crazy!), and DARK STAR, and THUNDERBIRDS (the various versions of the puppet show), and even a few others.

I forgot about Dark Star..... very cool movie I'll have to watch it again. Never really liked Fifth Element. I think Empire Strikes Back is my favorite SW film.... I haven't checked out the new one yet I heard it was pretty good might do that this week.

Cronenberg fan... awesome! I really dig his films Videodrome and eXistenZ (a lot of people I know hate this movie but what the fuck do they know ;) )being two of my favorites. If you liked the first Matrix movie you should check out the Manga film Ghost In The Shell I watched it yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Yeh a lot of people over here hate it with a passion. None of them were Cronenberg fans (or know who he is) tho so maybe it was a bit to out there for them. I think the Matrix did a good job in eclipsing this one at the time. I guess its not a film for everyone but I loved it.

Yep, Cronenberg is one of my favorite directors. But I don't know a whole lot of Cronenberg fans myself. In fact, most of the people I know are just outright sickened by his movies and hardly ever make it through most of them. :p
Just added Ghost in the Shell to my Netflix list. :D

I never really thought about it but I'm starting to realize that Star Wars is a ''love it or hate it'' film. I've never heard anybody say it was ok or wasn't that good, it's just great or horrible.

As you will have worked out i am in the hate it category, but i do realise there must be something about it for so many people to be huge fans
I just think it ended up being more of a soap opera a la star trek
